Australia were lucky to beat the USA in Philadelphia this afternoon our time , they trailed 24-6 at half time , but won the game 36-24 , great game by Matt Bowen with 3 tries , Mason , Berrigan and Cooper got 1 each , that brings an end to a very long tour for Australia , a pretty contoversial one with some of the selections if you ask me.

It is better being that way as far as promoting footy in the US. If we smashed them I cant really see the public being too interested in the game.

Probably, it seemed to me like it was more of a fun game anyway. But who knows...

But that Nate Smith or whatever his name is for the Yanks was there best player!!!!
If I were high up in a club or associated highly with the NRL id give him a run in First Grade!!!!!

He turned down half a million a year so he could portray Rugby League!!!
But ill beat you lot before you tell me 1 good Performance doesnt make a Player!!!!

Awesome performance by USA... and what a dominating performance by Australia.

They've got some awesome talent and it's a shame it was Jeff Prestons last match. Nate Smith signed with Parra at the start of the year and I always knew he would be big. He only had a trial contract and didn't stay with Parramatta..... FFS we should hire him!

Let me just say how funny it was seeing O'Meley getting held up twice and getting knocked on his arse!

usa played with heart...well done to them for puttin up a fight :grinning:

i was really suprised with the crowd attendance though....all this talk about an expected 20,000+ crowd...they tried their best to promote it, and im sure it'll become more popular as the american public gets familiarised with it

In todays Daily Telegraph they reckon at one point in the game the temperature reached 0 degrees..
How crazy is that?
