I've been wondering for ages, but I still can't figure out the appeal.

What makes ute drivers "pimp" their utes to look like mini-trucks?

We've all seen 'em on the roads ...

- V8
- Sports kit and rims
- Truck sized bull-bar on front
- 6+ spotlights that could bake a chook at close range.
- 4+ aerials.
- Lines of lights down the sides (like a truck).

What else do you customise these with ??? ...

On the other hand I never could get the Lowlux idea. You buy ute, obviously for carting things around and going offroad with, and then slam it on its bumpstops.
