Lygon Street is the where all the food is at and there are many Italian restaurants
Recommendation would be Mercadante

Plenty of gelato shops on Lygon as well

Crown Casino is worth checking out if you haven't been.

St Kilda for the beach, Luna Park, markets & food

Chapel St/Chadstone for shopping

When I went to Melbourne, it was 46-degrees and Black Saturday.

I stayed at Cranbourne - Dont stay there. It's a sh*thole.
