Totally agree, better they leave now while we are already down than to spring it on is when we get back on our feet. Personally i dont know how many other candidates we have to be poached (or who wants to be poached) at this time. Reni might be the biggest chance but who wants him?

Mmmm, I think the exodus is complete. Reni Maitua imo is a future captain of the club, if he remains beyond 09 which I doubt, but if he does he well and trully is capable of being captain. We've got Harrison coming up who looks tough as nails and will fill the void with SBW gone withing 2 years imo. John Kite, Barba, Taumata.. exciting times ahead. I hope Lee Te pulls his head in and starts playing good footy, there's a second rower position up for grabs and with Koups not even playing close to what he's capable of, anything is possible. Exciting times ahead.

I agree as well, although this is a terrible situation, it happened at a time where the dogs can still recover for next season and possibly use the money from sonnys contract to buy some loyal, less injury prone players. Someone who is proud to be just playing NRL.

After reading Coastal Dogs thread...

It has, for the first time since this saga broke out, given me hope. We are about to build a new club, and begin a new dynasty. A new look and feel for the club is on the horizon. I can see it. Success coming our way, being OUT of the headlines for the wrong reasons, only on the back page for our success. I'm excited. All the headliners have left. A new chapter in the Bulldogs is beginning as a rather forgettable era comes to an end.

We dont know what Kevin is yet. All superstar coaches had a first year.

We never had a chance at Bennett anyway, And Kevin deserves a shot after all his years hes put into the club and as assistant.

What we need most of all is stability to succeed. Bennett would change nothing about our current situation. Get over him.
