To my amazement, yesterday is the first time in my life i got a car littering fine, somebody dobbed me in the to "Dob tosser" website.
Incident happened 3 months ago and i dont recall throwing anything from my car. There are no photos to see what i threw.

I know revenue nsw show no mercy, but what is the best way to appeal this?

Any good pointers or what to write in my appeals? what can i use in my defence?

what are the chances of winning?

On a serious note though, it's tricky. You can say that it never happened and hope they don't actually have footage of you doing it. But that usually means that you have to spend a whole day in court contesting the fine.

well you have basically admitted to it. “I dont recall” = I did it, I just don’t remember if I did it on this exact day 3 months ago.

pay the fine and learn the lesson. Hopefully if you have kids you can teach them, as your mother failed to teach you.

I have a Ute that I don’t use much these days as my other car is meets my needs and I kept meaning to double check the rego date for it and with a lot of other busy stuff going on look I was slack and let it get out of rego.

I had it parked on a street beside a park not in front of anyone’s house or anything and someone must have reported it well anyway I got a sticker notice to move my car within 30 days as it has been reported dumped. It’s in fine working order and clean and everything. And I moved it to my driveway immediately

So the day after I they put the sticker on I check my mail (I don’t check it every single day) and I have a notice from revenue dated two days before my warning sticker was put on that I have a $320 fine.

I put in a dispute claim with revenue explaining I was unaware it was out of registration and immediately moved it once I got the sticker however the fine was issued two days prior to my 30 day warning.

Revenue pretty much said and you can tell it’s a policy thing… yep we understand bit the fine remains if you want to take it to court be our guest.

Ezra Mam, $850 and 6 months, that’s what you get for littering the street with car debris.

Write an appeal letter.

The fine should include ways to appeal it or contest it.

I think their policy is to deny any appeal and then to refer them to the court to try and get people to think..Ahh fuck it I’ll just pay it.

Why are you amazed at receiving a fine for littering when you know yourself you litter? What’s the thought process? That is fascinating that you would be amazed in this situation

Is throwing a banana peel, Mandarin peel, nectarine seed out the window littering or helping composting the earth and native birds, leftover food surely feeds stray animals or native animals. And how come them speed camera fckwits park in No Standing Zones. Can we issue them a citizen fine.

You really are a bellend

Most Aussies know not to trash the place with rubbish because we have to live in it.
My biggest problem is taking the dog out, first thing he wants to do is drop one so I gotta remember bags.

well you say you don’t recall anything, so wrote a letter saying you know nothing about it. To show you the evidence.

tell them it could be a frivolous claim from an ex girlfriend etc
