Any BYD Shark owners ?

Ignore Blue_boost. He's a troll and an anti-EV shill. BYD are good.
Depends on what you use the BYD for, if you are into camping and using it away from charging in remote areas, the fuel economy on them is pretty bad, way more than a regular turbo diesel in your other dual cabs. Carsales.com.au did an offroad trip with a few of them, they got fuel economy figures you would expect in a V8 patrol.

That's all hybrids though. I figured if he's considering hybrid then he's already looked into the issues with them.

I bought a new car last year and I was considering a Rav4 Hybrid, but ended up going with a Tucson Diesel 'cause I do lots of freeway driving and camping.

7.5 litres per 100km
It claims fuel consumption of 7.5 litres per 100km – similar to a four-cylinder diesel – in hybrid mode, and up to 100km of driving range on electric propulsion alone, but if BYD's claims are accurate, more power and quicker acceleration than a twin-turbo petrol V6 Ford Ranger Raptor.

Im guessing its like most Chinese crap. Once u buy it u got it tell death, as resale would be non existent.

When that carsales.com.au did that trip, they were getting double that. I have seen other reviews in similar conditions to that carsales trip, they were getting figures way over 10L per 100 as well. These are all trips in remote areas with little to no battery usage, you certainly won't get high fuel figures like that around town or even short trips

The way I see it. The BYD shark is worth 60k. I spend on petrol alone annually 6-7k. So if this car lasts me let’s say 10 years (8 years warranty) it’s paid itself off…

How will you impress all your greenie, hipster, leftist friends and family? An EV is the ultimate purchase for making yourself feel good and making sure your friends know you are serious about tackling climate change.

one person cant make a difference. why pay overs for a car that depreciates to zero value in a few years, have to fit your house with bullshit wires and solar panels.
