Unconfirmed he died of "dengue fever".
Was to ill to compete in opening rounds of Puerto rico event.
Made to stay in country after being deemed to ill to fly back home to Hawaii.
Found dead in his hotel room by Billabong Rep who'd recieved call from wife back home saying she couldn't reach him.

Massive loss.
Too sad for words.
Hawaii will be in mourning for months.
