It's a circle of improvement, one helps the other, around it goes, and the whole group lifts. Look at the Chooks last night, some unknown, long forgotten, mid 20's, just above park footballer scores 5 tries. He has been at the Chooks for 3 years, not knocking his training work rate and never give up attitude, but without the surrounding talent how many tries would he have scored? Keeping in mind his average before last night was 2 tries per season. Has he improved in the last 3 years, farked if I know, but he was sure as hell was made to look damn good by those around him.

Go Dogs
100% agreed but this is because he has good players around him, not because he was improved by the coach.

Thanks, Brad.
I am glad you have finally conceded defeat and can go and work on yourself and come back stronger next time.
As if he needs to work on himself. He’s always right so he will be a hit for the ladies when he hits puberty

This is not about roster deterioration, this is about player deterioration/lack of improvement individually.
That's a good point - Pay may not be responsible for the squad deterioration but he has a significant responsibility in the deterioration or or lack of development of squad members.
re coaches - Cowboys n Broncos have far better rosters but show less ticker than the dogs.

He should be more worried about his inept drag queens
Utter dribbler and garbage journalist

actually he wasn’t paid overs last time , he signed for less than he could of got elsewhere , parra offered him more
Nope. The dogs offered him a reasonable contract. Parra came in and offered overs. He said to the dogs he didn’t want to leave but the offer was too good. Parra wanted a hard worker in there pack. Dogs then matched there offer and he re-signed.

Here's 6 quotes, there are literally hundreds more, claiming no players have improved and last time I checked Elliott was a player (until he got injured).

In summary, a large number have said it and continue to say it even though it plainly isn't true.

Go Dogs
and maybe everyone doesn’t feel like writing each time “except maybe Elliott” which I have done before. Because frankly essentially the whole team bar The odd player improved It’s hard to attribute to pay rather than a freak nature that against all odds they have improved despite having him as coach as the vast majority of players not improved

Another sob story for Pay. This really is a co-ordinated effort by the media to keep us at the bottom of the ladder.

Never mind Pay's shocking coaching record or how badly the team has regressed under him... Let's feel sorry for the poor helpless (more like hopeless) coach instead and put more pressure on the muppets in charge to re-sign him so we can continue to be a doormat for the next few years.

Fuck this club and the lack of leadership they've shown. They've accepted a loser mentality to the point where the media don't expect us to do any better.
Even Ben Ikin on 360 last year asked if anyone thought Pay could coach because of how bad we were going.
When people are in the know and saying these things it's a worry

Yeah mate 100%. I know one of his mates who’s a Parra fan. He was gutted he didn’t sign with them. It was around the time in 2017 when he was killing it and had just played for country origin.

Is Webster fair dinkum? Has he not had a look at this team at all over the last 3 years? We have struggled to sign any talent because nobody wants to be coached by Pay, when we do sign talent we have struggled to sustain their talent at an NRL level - they go backwards. Look at Napa, DWZ as examples.

Cute story tho.
What does Webster know about the club? Sweet f*** all.

“Eat their own”... seriously. Did he write the same article when the Broncos spat out their club legend Bennett?

What about the Dragons McGregor?? Any story there? He’s pretty much in the same boat as Pay...

How many coaches have the Tigers churned through over the years???

Has Webster heard of the Warriors?????

Fact is we’ve had 3 coaches in 10yrs, not bad in comparison to the rest of the competition.
