I think you’re under estimating the value of a quality experienced half. Just look at the top 4 teams, Hughes, Cleary, Reynolds, DCE. All rep quality halves

Do we want a ‘good’ Burton or a ‘superstar’ Burton. Admittedly Cleary is the NSW 7 so we won’t get that caliber but we need somebody better or BBO to mature VERY quickly….

Exactly this. We need Burton to focus on his strength. His running game. Without the extra responsibility of leading and organizing the team. As you said, Burton is a different player with a dominant number 7 beside him
