2025 Round 0 - Other Team Lists and Game Discussion

Meh like anyone watched the womens match, no one wants to see 90 to 4 or whatever scoreline.
Exactly, the only put it on when they did to try give the girls a ratings boost. For example I went and did yard work and left the stream running. I'm sure plenty of people did similar and weren't interested.

Went and had lunch. Did not miss a thing. If they were going to do it, why on earth wouldn't you put NZ against Australia?

If they had to have a woman's match it should've been an Origin game. Those games are usually the best women's games.

Australia vs NZ would work, but I agree an exhibition Origin game would work.

It would also help for the main game to have a big club. Yes it was a great game, but two smallish Sydney clubs is hardly going to be that big a draw. You have to have at least one of the bigger drawing clubs, Dogs, Souths, Brisbane, Parra, Dragons. There's just not the eyeballs on the TV with smaller clubs. Penrith have won 4 in a row they barely get 14k to games, Cronulla get less than 10k. They aren't popular. Now I'd get it if this was the first game, but the second has to involve a big club
You might be a bit out of date with those numbers;
Penrith's home ground average attendance last year (18,873) was better than Souffs (17,673), Dargons (15,036) and Parramatta (18,192)
Cronulla was 14,560, which is not bad considering the state of their home ground.

If one of those bigger clubs was 4 straight can utterly guarantee you it would be 26k at the least. Imagine us with 4 straight you’d be talking 30k most weeks

No sorry, can't do this.

Won't be going to Vegas while Putin's lapdog is in the White House.

Agree with Vlandys. That match was not a good look. I think by the time the main game started, most people were bored.
Down to whoevers great idea it was to not allow re entry once you left the stadium so people were either forced to watch and wait for the Panthers clash or bail and do literally anything else

Imagine if Penrith Park held more than 20,000. Which it will shortly.

Fkn penrith are going to be real hard to beat again this year, but man I do like watching them play. Getting Muitalo on tilt then scoring in his corner was fucking priceless.
Same here.
Also, it's hard to think of a player there that you think I cant stand that prick or even really dislike, they don't play dirty, whinge a lot or anything bad.
Yes it's getting monotonous comp after comp but it's up to other teams to rise up and beat them fair and square.
