Never understood why people get all pissy about the haka, or even Siva tau and Sipi Tau. Lots of people do though...... haha, always have to make a comment or make fun.

Usually i just dont watch things i dont like, seems to work for me.

You're Samoan right mate? I dont know whether you have done the Siva Tau at any stage, but im guessing if you have it would give you similar feelings that i got doing the haka. Theres just nothing like it. Watching my son do the Haka in Maori tournaments, or even in PYC against the Samoan or Tongan boys while they do the Siva Tau/Sipi Tau gives me chills, brings tears to my eyes lol

Anyway each to their own right mate.

I have kids that identify as aboriginal. They do a lot of dancing/culture days through school etc. Its just not needed before game imo. Id rather just see tje footy.

Your kids are better off seeing their culture represented then not. The game is based on culture and identity.

Its inly an opinion, as u would know there is so much more to both cultures than the pre game what we see now. That would be the smallest part i guess, kids dont do none of this when expressing through dance at school etc

Its about seeing themselves being represented. This is a snapshot of culture before a footy game. Its not everything, its not meant to be.

Id be happy for it to be scrapped from all sport. Its clearly not going to be. Im sure the whole week in camp is more centred around culture etc

The whole camp is centred on culture and helping community. Im not sure how having culture before a game effects anyone. The yearly sook and comments is strange - just don’t watch it. This game is culture

It was a blatant obstruction, he literally stops in the line right between the attacker and Fifita and Fifita has to try and run around him to make the tackle. Fifita didn't even try to milk it either and she's like "he initiated contact" lol. This is going to be an absolute disaster this season.

The onus was always on the attacker to run through the line and not impede defenders. Whenever they’d pull up in the line they ruled it no try, clear as day.
Now with her ruling, attackers can pull up in the line no dramas and the bunker will decide whether the defender initiates the contact on dummy runner or not. Just another way they can manipulate results. She’s so cooked!
