Dogs have people all over the country. We get the best talent in that we can whether you’re local or not.

Can’t expect a spot over someone better than you just because you’re a local.
This has been happening for as long as the game. Especially in Penrith and Parramatta as they have the most junior players. Players that dont make it end up elsewhere, always going to happen.
What i can say from experience is the Canterbury junior teams are very strong from the 15’s to 17’s. Hence why we have been strong in the Matts and Ball. Seeing the players come through those age groups i cant see why we wont be top4 in all junior grades next year.

Lots of quality backup in Ron Massey too with the likes of Eli Clark, Lachlan Vale, Lajuan Vito, Luke Smith, Damon Marshall, Elijah Mataale Jordi Mazzone ... none would look out of place if selected in cup.

No chance that all of Hayes, Salmon and Morrin will be in NSW cup. I’d hope Hayes is on the bench for round 1, and I’m expecting one of Todd or Underhill to breakthrough in the first few rounds.
Don't really see the need for Hayes with Tupouniua here now, both would pretty much play the same role. Salmon....yh, if I speak :tearsofjoy:

I feel Hayes will be a good back up depth player. A lot will come down also to how the team returns from off season and how hard they train. Correct attitude could result in a spot

There was a NBN news interview with Hayes back in his home town said he will be playing more of a middle roll next year and he said will be putting more size on in the off season to accommodate the move I will try and find the interview

True, I just see them too like for like with them both predominantly set to play through the middle while covering both the backrow and centres. We need a few more different body types and profiles in the forwards this season, too much same same last season. Todd could be a big one for us, was easily first in line to make his debut last season before injury hit. His running style is a little Yeo like too, not sure on his ball playing though.

I wouldn't of thought so watching this year either. Who drops out though?? Potential pack next year
8 King
9 Mahoney
10 Hughes
11 Kikau
12 Preston
13 Mann
14 Tupounouia
15 Curran
16 Haywood
17 Up for grabs possibly Amone & Fifita in contention also. Possibly an outside back for coverage gets number 17 also
Im hoping Hayes gets the #17 shirt, he has the ability to help shift momentum in games.

Parramatta has pulled out of the western conference, so the dogs and parra will have separate competitions. They have been together for 3 seasons, big news for the junior competitions

Highlights package from this year flegg fullback Taye Corcoran. he only re-signed with the club recently as well
He had a really good finals series and there is nothing of him so skinny but he's so strong for his size.
He striked up a really good combo with Cassius by the end of the year in sure he'll do the same with Mitch Woods bext year in Flegg.

I hope we keep him!

Kid was definitely a standout this year, he may be small but i love that he's not afraid to put his body on the line especially in defence. Hopefully he continues to progress with us.

He didn’t have it easy either had to out work and out play Ragrave Warwick who is a natural talent for that fullback spot which is a good sign.
