trey mooney on the bench for the raiders is interesting
They are priming him for a contract extension before the push back to reserves. In saying that the kid could well demand selection every week the way he's been going on reserves.

he would be stupid to resign with the raiders knowing how many other players they have ahead of him when he could get a starting spot here or at the dragons or even souths

He is more than good enough to be playing NRL each week. He's better than Salmon.

Sutton doing Knights v Roosters. Based on past appointments history that means it's highly unlikely he will do the Knights next week against the Bulldogs. Yeah.

Schuster has been granted an immediate release by Manly.

Sea Eagles tell struggling $800k star Josh Schuster he can look for another club. Manly has told struggling $800,000-a-year star Josh Schuster he is free to find a different NRL club.

The news was broken by Nine's Danny Weidler on Wednesday.

It follows months of angst at Brookvale over the young talent's ongoing fitness. At the end of last season he opted out of the Pacific Championships with Samoa so he could focus on getting up to speed for Manly. But Sea Eagles coach Anthony Seibold hasn't picked him once this season, and now he's been told to find a new home.

Schuster inked a fresh contract only last year. He's pocketing $800k a year from Manly and is tied to the club until the end of 2027. Even if he does find a new team willing to put in the work to turn him around, Manly is almost certain to be picking up a hefty chunk of the bill.

Schuster made his NRL debut in 2020 but it wasn't until 2021 that he became a regular member of the team. He spent that year playing in the backrow, while dabbling in the halves. Last year he started 14 games at five-eighth but that position has now been assumed by recruit Luke Brooks.
This season Schuster has been playing for Blacktown Workers in the NSW Cup.

Another waste of talent.

Always a Bulldog
