To be fair, Mahoney hasn't started training yet and Kikau pretty much went from the GF and straight into Fiji camp. Besides, he's not long been back in the country (Nov 1 when he officially became a bulldog). He'd be on a well deserved break right now.

I think it's a bit unfair to ask to see him in our colours at this stage.

Wasn’t the whole point of him wearing our colours in that leaked photo so they could release stuff while he was away at the WC? I swear Gus mentioned that when addressing the media about that.

If the extra muscle can help him believe he can take contact without being scared of it I'm all for it. Hopefully he finds his voice too, if he had more confidence in his running game and was more vocal from the back, especially in organising our on-goal defense he could make a decent fullback.
