Righto Kennel,

We've been hammered this week but there's a lot of good things to take out of this season, here's a few that spring to mind.

Aaron Woods - Gone
Moses Mbye - Gone
Lachlan Lewis - Strong defender, good kicking game, good footy genes, poor hair genes.
Reimis Smith - A back with pace, finds the tryline, son of Tyran, often has his first name spelt wrong.
Rhyse Martin - Runs good lines, strong in support, can kick conversions, will be off contract in November.
Josh Jackson - First year as captain, looks like a genuine edge backrower now, bleeds blue and white.
David Klemmer - Player of the year, playing bigger minutes, has pre ordered a grave stone for Wade Graham.
Late Season Form - Shows we're moving away from Des Ball, smashed the Dragons to nil.
The Kennel - Although they can sometimes (mostly always) be a bunch of cynical cannibalistic bastards, will always stand up against the outsiders intending to bring this great club down.

- As stated we've promoted some players that deserved their shot.
- We offloaded a couple of highly paid players who weren't really performing in l;ine with their pay scale.
- We've picked up some promising youngsters ( the last board picked up middle aged guys who had never broken into their former NRL sides)
- We seem to be heading back to methods of prolongued success that made the club one of the most successfulo for many years (Junior development)
- We seem to have recruited well in our talent scouting department (which will still take time to pay dividends, but better that we're not relying on a lazy Mofo who's repeatedly ignored the good advice of others to let good players go elsewhere)
- We'll start the season with less pressure next year and hopefully more enthusiasm with a younger roster looking to cement spots.

All fair and good points fellas. This year has been a diabolical one; more downs than ups but still those last five or so games where we actually developed some good combos and unearthed some talent which may never have gotten a chance if change of coach had not happened.

I feel next year will still be a developmental one but at least the players will have some confidence in themselves and at least will be a lot more competitive. Don't forget we lost about eight games by eight or less points due mostly to the inability to be able to take our chances when they fell to us. A clean-out of the players surplus to our roster and the recruitment of some young up and comers will pay dividends in the long run.

Our biggest losses player wise the Morris boys, Josh a bit more than Brett and it would have been lovely to see Josh retire a Bulldog after many loyal years of service.

The loss of the Morris boys will unfortunately critically and detrimentally outweigh the benefit of the young recruits IMO. Huge losses. Very huge!
