Who do you think would win and why?

1. B. Barba - 1. Patten
2. M. Brown 2. El Masri
3. J. Morris - 3. Harris
4. K. Inu. - 4. Tonga
5. S. Perrett - 5. Utai
6. J. Reynolds - 6. Anasta
7. T. Hodkinson - 7. Sherwin
8. J. Graham - 8. O'Meley
9. M. Ennis - 9. Perry
10. S. Kasiano - 10. Mason
11. D. Halatau - 11. Maitua
12. F. Pritchard - 12. Ryan
13. G. Eastwood-13. Grimaldi
14. J. Jackson - 14. SBW
15. A. Tolman - 15. Hughes
16. T.Williams - 16. Asotasi
17. D. Finucane -17. Thurston

I think 2004 would just, just get over them. Score 12 - 16.

Fk that was a good team. Even now that most of us would say we are in the best position we've been in for over 20 yrs, the 2004 team still has that big game punch and grunt about it when you look at it.

Fullback - i personally still rather patten, barba had a brilliant 2012 but patten was consistently great for us for a long time, incredibly reliable

Wingers - 2004 here for me too, remember this was before utai became a complete spastic, was awesome in the GF

Centre's - pretty close, tonga in 04' was brilliant, harris solid but i'm gonna go with the 2013 verson just

Halves: 2004 for mine, shifty and braith were both playing good, we only have one playing good this time

Props: i'm including price here as looking 2 full stregnth line ups Graham, tolman and kasiano is good, price, mason, o'meley and asotasi is better

Hooker: 2013 easy

BAckrow: gonna call this one a wash, tho i lean towards 2004, the backrow just had such a great balance and bobcat was a star back then and obviosuly sonny was becoming a superstar

Coach: 2013 easily

Goal Kicking: 2004 easily

Captaincy: price > ennis

You can't compare at all .The 04 team had the most dominate forward pack in the decade . Plus they had good halves and sonny bill, that all said uncompairable to match them . We can speculate as much we want but until we actually win the comp then we can't ,cause that team did and look at the superstars that came from that team.

Looking at both sides they are very similar big forwards and not the best halves in the world but they are decent

Sherwin and thurston not decent halves r u normal!!!
Thurston is on the bench so I didn't count him in the halves I comparing the halves stated
And sherwin was good but he wasnt great that's why I say decent halves neither of these Halves from either side would set the world on fire

That would be a thruston or cronk week in week out
They didn't win us a comp our forwards won us a comp they made him look better then what he was if he was playing without that forward pack he wouldn't stand a chance of winning a comp

And this 2013 line isn't correct either halatau should be swapped with Williams as he is going to always start it seems

Correct? The 2013 team has Williams on the bench because of current form. Most will agree that Williams should be an impact back rower coming from the bench now. Dene is very underrated for mine and starts. This is my opinion.

Sherwin should've made Origin in 2004. In 2005 Anasta and Thurston both did.

mate how old were you in 2004? Curious.

It's common knowledge that Shifty was playing better than A/Johns around 03-04. He was the best half back at the time. The only reason he didn't make rep side was because the incumbent was A.Johns. If Shifty's form had stayed that way he would of been in those rep side when A.Johns was injured.

The proof is in the pudding. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PXQhi59_14

We'll I'm going off what des is picking and he is in the starting side every week so even though I do agree with you he need to come off the bench

Of course thruston was going to make it in 2005 he was playing great that year biggest mistake dogs ever made was letting him go

Hold up all I'm say is he was a decent half which he is. It's not like I'm saying he was horrible

All I'm saying is that for one it was our forward pack that was the major difference against sides which sherwin worked well off they got going forward which helped his game

And secondly that's why I was saying they are very similar sides when our forwards are dominat like last year our halves work well

I disagree. Hodko is a decent half and will show that when the forwards start firing again. Shifty was one of the best we've ever had in the number 7 when the forwards are firing. Like chalk and cheese actually.
