Im a blues supporter and I didnt see it that way. I dont think QLD got a leg up. NSW didnt capitalise in the first half, they should have been up 20+ at half time but they didnt execute. QLD contained Cleary's kicks on the last the whole game. Qld played poor first half and came out as a 'QLD' team in the 2nd. Thats why they won.I didn't watch the game. My housemate did and attributes numerous sets of six to giving Qld enough of a leg up to score most of their points.
Hopefully with the oldest Sutton quitting there might be less chance of the other two getting selected for the big games.
Well 79.59 mins.NSW can blame themselves, they just thought with the lead at half time that they would do it easy, guess what blues, you have to play for 80 minutes in origin
Nah freddy cost the blues with his awesome centre pairing which were a fullback and a 5/8 lol.. that doesn't excuse the fact that sutton got that ridiculously wrong.. that is not the sort of thing that is open for interpretation either... That's what makes it worse..While I agree sutton is a shit ref and should be dropped, you are fucking delusional if you think that he cost the blues the game.
The NRL defend refs decisions 99% of the time though. I'd have been highly surprised if they didn't on this.In 2014 the NRL changed the way the clock counts down the final seconds of a game for the referee.
“The TV clock is independent of the official clock, with the seconds counted down in the referee’s earpiece.
The referee was being fed the official time through his earpiece, while the clock on TV was on a slight delay — something the NRL has confirmed.
“The referee gets a 10-second countdown from the match-day coach in their ear at the end of every half, based off the time-keeper,” an NRL spokesman told the Sydney Morning Herald.
“The referee calls full-time off that, not the siren or the scoreboard timer.”
In every game with 10 seconds to go the time keepers verbally tell the referee that there is 10 seconds to go.
Then when they get to five seconds they give him a second by second count down.
Why ref called full-time in State of Origin before the clock ran out
NSW fans on their couches at home were blowing up at full-time of Origin I, believing the Blues had been robbed of a final play to snatch a win from Queensland.www.news.com.au
Cronk is a fucking retard.
There were a few to QLD in the 2nd half.First half there were 6 agains. But none in 2nd half and the play the ball got slowed down because of it
Yeah bullshit. Another way to corrupt games. In 2014 the NRL changed the way the clock counts down the final seconds of a game for the referee.
