Well he went after plenty and missed out on nearly all of them.
Gould, Flanagan and Bennett have all gone for targets mostly misses it's the hits that matter.

IMO Bennett will be coaching Souths next year unless Mitchell chooses to be player-coach or finds another puppet.

Yep I got ya, he's got worse spine players than ours, a number 7 with 0 experience and has never played origin and a fullback who is so boring and slow. Yep you're right. Stuff Ben Hunt, Hutcho is better and stuff Sloan, Taaffe is better.
Sloan isnt that good lol.. hunt is thinking about retirement, probably dosent even wanna be there

With the triumvirate of the recent cellar dwellers...

Bulldogs
Dragons
Tiges

Not until the end of the season will one set of supporters be able to laugh and bag out each other after the final positions are determined.

From week to week, the results will wax and wane along with the highs and lows as each team, and their coach, tries to claw their way to some success.

Yeah just saw that.
About the rev up WB gave Hammer afted R1. Longer article but the Heading:

View attachment 104323
Hammer was terrible round 1 quite a few try assists for the opposition. Scored 3 tries last night. Bennett dropped the recruitment managers son as halfback to bring in a 20yo. That's a massive call. That's like us moving Magic from 5/8 or axing Mahoney for Hayward.

Coaches rarely blow up a round 1 team. Bennett done that. This is why it's so important this weekend we win big and build some confidence. We win by 2-4 points it only provides a short term band aid for the tougher road ahead. We are still conceding 4 tries a game so we need to score 4-5 tries to win games.

Fans me included would accept defeats far easier if players like Papalli, Hayward, etc were in the side rather than rejects from other clubs.

I always stand by Wilson and Kiraz when some in here don't. Other than the fact Wilson and Kiraz do so much dirty work they've made their NRL debuts with us and have got to NRL the hard way. The old traditional Bulldog way. I know Kiraz is a local junior. I speak to people who say he wasn't a stand out in the juniors he just worked harder and harder to achieve it. Every team needs at least 2 outside backs that churn in the big tough metres (minus kick returns). Critta, Fox and if he goes to centre Magic won't do that. They're different style of players. They're X Factor players. This is where Kiraz and Wilson are so important.

Look at how clubs have gone once he's left them. He gives short term success and then takes what he wants and fucks off.

These old **** coaches are in it for the short term. They have to be for obvious reasons.

Just pause for a second and see the bigger picture at this club. Juniors are fucking good and winning trophies. Hang in there, the good is coming.

Bennett has the coaching gig for the Western Brisbane team (Brisbane Tigers / Western Clydesdales) tied up. If they are the 18th (or 19th or 20th) NRL team then he would do the same as he has with the Dolphins, spend 2025 recruiting and ready to play games 2026. If they do get the licence then Shane Richardson, if he is still there, will drop the Wests Tigers for 2025 and take up the CEO gig there. He's a local and has been working hard on getting them named as 18/19/20th NRL team.

New stadium being built at Ipswich for the Olympics a bit bigger than the Dolphins ground.

Well, TK may not be the best place to seriously discuss footy, but it certainly can give a good laugh. Classic comedy from the usual dumdums.

I’d be very surprised if Bennett is coaching Souths again next year. I think somebody already made a good point about this yesterday.

Gus has hit plenty of lower grade targets that have helped repair our pathways systems. He’s not going for broke in FG as much as some want him too.

Yep, it's renewed annually, so if they are awarded an NRL licence then it's not a problem.

1. Still better than what we have in our spine.

2. Plus their coach has coached 187 first grade games and a premiership winner.

3. Also, the added Royalty of wearing the Red V, apparently it gives you a hard on and you become bullet proof and become 6 foot tall.

Considering these 3 points there is no reason to get smashed 38-0 after they bought their GF tickets after last weekends results.

Flanno will be seriously considering using Peptides moving forward LOL!!

Should Easts Leagues Club get the NRL licence part of the agreement will be covering the Ipswich and Toowoomba regions. Easts and Redcliffe are the two silvertail clubs in Brisbane. Redcliffe put in a better NRL bid, included the Wide Bay and Rockhampton regions in their bid and were more advanced with their investments led by a Coles shopping complex. NRL will one day push Dolphins to the Sunshine Coast eventually so they can protect their property investments like how Cronulla get soft draws and plum referee decisions now the NRL own their apartments. It will probably mean our partnership with Toowoomba will either cease or become a different type of arrangement like how Ipswich have partnerships with both the Titans and Roosters. Ipswich needed the Titans component as you need NRL contracted players in your Queensland Cup side to be competitive. Clydesdales are easy beats in the Queensland Cup due to no NRL players. They will always be strong in the junior reps because of the area Toowoomba is when it comes to Rugby League always a heartland for the code. They lose their decent Queensland Cup players to other clubs with a direct NRL pathways whether it's Canterbury NSW Cup or another Queensland Cup side.

Jason Alchin is still the coach.

The Bulldogs never stopped giving 100% on Friday.
Saint George threw in the towel at half time. I don't know if Flanagan was ever seriously considered at Bulldogs. If so, we dodged a bullet there.
Wayne Bennett is good at quick fixes, or running teams rorting the salary keep. But he has not, does not and will never be a good fit for the Bulldogs.
Ciraldo is doing a great job.
He'll have us in the finals next year and pushing for a top 4 spot the year after.
