The Mole: Bulldogs re-sign in-demand forward on three-year deal
By The Mole

The Bulldogs have scored a major coup by re-signing tough prop Max King on a long-term deal.
Wide World of Sports revealed last month that with a nationwide shortage of experienced props, King is in hot demand.
The pocket battleship is one of the few quality front-rowers coming off contract at the end of 2024 and rival clubs have been trying to swoop.

But Bulldogs sources have told Wide World of Sports that the club has reached an agreement to retain the 26-year-old, who has been their most consistent forward since joining the club from the Storm two years ago.

King and his manager are expected to put pen to paper on a new three year deal in coming days, heading off a potential bidding war.
Only a couple of weeks ago, Bulldogs guru Phil Gould told Wide World of Sports how desperate the club has been to re-sign King.
"We are keen to keep Max - he's a great kid and been very good for us," Gould said.
King has amazing rugby league pedigree - his great-grandfather Cec played for Souths in the 1940s, his grandad Johnny was a star in the Dragons team of the 1950s and '60s, playing in seven of their 11 straight grand final wins and his dad David played for Gold Coast in the 1990s.
Expect a formal announcement in coming days
