Solid outing. Our defence was very hungry. And our ball carriers were solid. We seemed to out enthuse them. Fair enough trial and Melbourne had virtually no stars.

Impressed with Hughes, king seemed like 2022 king. Hutch and sexton were good. Knight was a big big disappointment. Hopefully Kautoga and faamausili do enough to keep that fraud of an nrl player away from first grade.

I know this isn’t a reflection on nrl and I’m sure we won’t outplay storm like this (dominated them in attack and defence). But was a good win in the end considering how dominant we were for 80 mins.

How's the go forward going?

I don’t think we should be as worried about our forwards as many first thought. Will be interesting next week as most teams will play more of their Round 1 teams but we had some momentum tonight and both Sexy and Hutch looked pretty good at 7 too. Next week we’ll likely see Critta. JAC, Kiks etc…

Attitude is what it's all about. If our defence is improved when we're still missing a number of top players then you've got to be happy.

we did well coming out of yardage but the real test will be next weeks trial against sharks when both teams will be using there main teams
