The problem I have with Foxtel 4K is the channels aren't permanent so you don't know what channel the 4K will be on, sometimes it's 591 sometimes 593, it's a PIA. Plus they don't have the 4K channels in the guide in advance, you have to go to the 1080 channel and then it gives you the option of changing to the 4K channel. That makes it very hard to program recordings in advance and I often get clashes and then no recording. Only the live games seem to be in 4K, the replays or streamed games are only in 1080. It's very half arsed, not at all user friendly.Foxtel 4K is always mint. I never have a problem with it. All games that are not shown on 9 are on the dedicated 4K channel
I don’t think I can add a Fox box at another address? He has a box at his place, so it’s the old school Foxtel which means only way I can watch at mine is Foxtel Go. I don’t really know how it all works these days but imagine you can get a sub via internet. Is Foxtel Now still available? On Demand is 1080p, the Apple TV 4K will upscale to some extent as you have its output to set to match your TV, it also has the best output image, colour etc of any device I’ve tested and I’ve tested dozens of them.
Can you add a second box to your dad’s account? Is that still a thing, is it via satellite or internet?
Edit to reflect yours
You can sub to a iq5 which is internet and add another box for extra, unless Foxtel lock it your IP address they wouldn’t know different.I don’t think I can add a Fox box at another address? Foxtel now - 5 device log in. And they have a $59 12 month deal going on where you get the lot. So can watch NRL, National Geo (nothing like lizard porn) etc etc. Thats about half price. You can sub to a iq5 which is internet and add another box for extra, unless Foxtel lock it your IP address they wouldn’t know different.
With CGNat people share the same IP so that could work on a paper, only way to know is to test it.
Foxtel now, I have no idea.
Nothing can help with the buffering issues other than Kayo sorting out their servers.Someone suggested nvidia shield tv pro could help with Kayo buffering hassles...thoughts Kennellers?
Just select the NRL Channel when you scroll down rather than the game stream. I find it still goes on, sometimes the quality drops off for 2-3 secs but it at least still continues rather than go back 15 secs in the game.Nothing can help with the buffering issues other than Kayo sorting out their servers.
Someone who recommending a device to fix buffering has no idea.
Yep, made that recommendation before.Just select the NRL Channel when you scroll down rather than the game stream. I find it still goes on, sometimes the quality drops off for 2-3 secs but it at least still continues rather than go back 15 secs in the game.
Thanks mate. (I'm no technocrat as evidenced lol)The reasoning behind it was not knowing people's TV set up (apparently):Nothing can help with the buffering issues other than Kayo sorting out their servers.

All goodThanks mate. (I'm no technocrat as evidenced lol)The reasoning behind it was not knowing people's TV set up (apparently):
"Android TV: Version 8.0 and above
Kayo is available on selected Android TV devices. Make sure you download the television app for Android TV OS. To optimise your Kayo experience, you will require the Android TV OS (version 8.0 and above).
The Android MobileOS is not supported by Kayo for Android TV, and while it will still deliver a stream, you may experience buffering and/or other limitations using the unsupported operating system."
Appreciate the adviceAll good
Some TV's (LG, Samsung and Hisense) have Kayo built in, they may not receive updates and frequent as they should - I wouldn't use a TV unless you don't have a choice
I would buy a Google Chromecast 4k they are $80 and will do a great job with Kayo and your other streaming apps.
The best option is a Apple TV 4k, the Shield is also a good option but for Android its better value to stick to a Chromecast 4k.
Likely after the price hike which is this week or sometime in March.4k hasn't started yet hasn't it?
Would of been nice to watch the SB in 4k
While this is a good idea for anyone wanting it for 12 months, I think it’s hilarious that this has become a common tactic.BTW, for those that don't know. You can sign up to a GWS Giants AFL digital membership for $231 and you get 12 months of Kayo basic. Much cheaper than paying Kayo monthly.
Hi Hacky, sorry mate, I haven't seen any thing from your mate Assasin Excorist or whatever, I know he has had some serious medical issues, so I have been worying and praying for him.Yeah, it's going to be trash. Higher price and 98% of Australians will be downscaled to 720p 'cause Kayo servers are garbage.
He's around. Just changed his name againHi Hacky, sorry mate, I haven't seen any thing from your mate Assasin Excorist or whatever, I know he has had some serious medical issues, so I have been worying and praying for him.
