Bellamy literally made the finals in his first crack at the role, fam.

And again, until you hear it from someone's mouth that is not a sensationalist journo, take it with a grain of salt.

If the club was right in telling RFM to stay away, why is he back at training, BTW?
You seem to swallow a lot of sensationalist shit easily.

There is no question in my mind the players switched off. You only had to observe Burton to see that. That level of half-hearted effort in defence and attack during the second half of the season says something was very wrong, or missing, or just not right. The players were not motivated to play for 80 minutes and put in minimal effort to compete...even allowing for the injuries and sub par roster which many offer as an excuse.

What it was that caused that, is above my pay grade to work out but it had better be fixed 2024 bc saying RFM, Topine, Alamonti, Davey. TPJ, Avo caused it is just silly really.

Be more of a combination of all factors be the most likely answer and that includes Coach Cam. They all bear some responsibility.

Main thing is....have they all learnt from 2023 and can they make sure mistakes, and poor systems/training aren't repeated.
Yeah if you set aside everything Gus, Ciro, commentators, the media say, take off Bulldogs glasses and actually look at our onfield performances, its clear to see that the team wasnt playing for their coach. Burton still making the same rookie errors after 2 years is ridiculous. JAC, Kiks Reed either stagnated or regressed has nothing to do with the players not wanting to train narrative. Ciro threatened the playing group twice in pressers but did nothing. May not have had the players to bring in but thats beside the point, you wont earn respect if you dont follow through on your word.
Its on coach to unite the playing group and have them buy in.
Cant beleive anything you read or hear.
I beleive Ciro deserves adequate time to prove himself and I reckon by finals time next year all will be revealed.

I never said Ciraldo's job was easy....but the fact it is a hard gig doesn't change the fact he's making a dog's breakfast of it.
You say that about a hard gig but reality is participating on a forum with people of a common interest should be easy but you demonstrate the ability to make a dogs breakfast out of it every day. What’s your point?

You would take it with a grain of salt if RFM denied it.

If it wasn't true he would have asked for an apology or a retraction.

Why would he want prospective employers to think he did that unless he actually did and hasn't got a leg to stand on.

So he is back at training, so what?

He copped his punishment, a suspension and probably a written warning, told he was on his last chance and to keep his mouth shut.

What happens next is up to RFM.

Does he continue with what happened last year or does he knuckle down and prove himself.

What he did wasn't good but also far from the worst thing he could have done.

Doesn't mean the club will stop shopping him around and it won't stop his manager looking for a new club for him.

Besides, everyone love a good redemption story

Why wouldn't he do that? Maybe because he realised going public was a mistake and is trying to keep things in house.

Fam, the club told him to stay away and less than a week later he's back at training.... they ain't offering him a shot at redemption. They got a tap on the shoulder from the RLPA... It's a pretty bad look.

Agree, but if he’s done that, just be completely open about it and sack him. Surely a payout for sacking him wouldn’t cost more than having him sit on his arse getting paid for the next 2 years.
Don’t disagree, but we don’t know what legal grounds the club has regarding termination of employment though it was pretty clear on NRL 360 RFM was the inside man disclosing info to Buzz, assume this may have placed his contract in breach of conduct… who knows.

He got suspended as part of his punishment for breaking his work contract.

Employees around the country get suspended from work with and without pay every day.

A suspension is meant to finite, otherwise it would be a sacking.

It is a common occurrence. Happens everyday.

He paid his dues and now he is back.

If the RLPA really had anything to do with you don't think Clint Newton would be on the back page of every paper telling everyone how great the RLPA is.

Look at the way he carried on about the EBA.

He got suspended for one training session? Come on, look at what you are typing. You can't seriously believe it. The club had no intention of letting him return. And they can't just sack a player without cause. He is contracted for two more years.

So are you saying that it is a first in the game that a player has been suspended for one training session?

Come on. You know better than that.

They had the infamous meeting, Gould read him the riot act.

And then let him back.

Of course they aren't sacking him. Like I said before Formal written (probably final) warning, suspension and having his head ripped of and embarrassed by Gould.

He spoke to the media not attacked a member of staff.

Punishment fits the crime.

What punishment do you think he should have got?

PSA for the forum.
Just a little aside from topic.
Just a reminder that if you feel the need to take me, @Flanagun, @Polly Power for whatever reason, please bring your A game.
I am not suggesting we are right all the time with our observations, but we are extremely bright, humble, high IQ people and are right more than not. So just have your arguments backed and ducks in a line IF you want to debate.
Although I’d like to think we are all on the same page and there is no need to argue, but I know TK can be a little emotional and a bit stubborn at times.

Suspended for one game months after the supposed transgression took place? I legit don't think that has ever happened, fam.

Generally when a player is suspended by a club, the suspension is handed down as soon as the club has the relevant facts and all the legal boxes are ticked. The club usually makes a statement about that suspension and the reasoning behind it to avoid reporters letting their imaginations run wild and the announcement is usually accompanied by a quote from the player acknowledging the mistake and apologising to fans.

This was not a suspension. It's backflip city, baby!
