Sometimes I just wish the club would sign him as their salary cap manager so he can fulfill his dream Lol
Could do well at the Roosters, plenty under the sumbrero for newbie errors .

Better yet, send him to my favourites, Parra or Dragons. Tigers seem to suffer no matter who they sign so it feels bad offering them a salary cap manager.

650k is his current Panther contract actually (NRL rich list based off 2023), 825k is his reported amount here next year.

This kind of proves my point about how weak the market was this year and how few good players changed clubs.. Aside from the Dolphins, Roosters and Souths getting Wighton, most clubs didn't sign anyone worthwhile and some clubs haven't signed anyone at all yet.

Broncos: Fletcher Baker (Roosters)

Raiders: Simi Sasagi (Knights)

Bulldogs: Stephen Crichton (from Panthers), Bronson Xerri (return from ban), Blake Taaffe (Rabbitohs), Jaeman Salmon (Panthers)

Sharks: No one signed

Dophins: Herbie Farnworth (from Broncos until 2026), Josh Kerr (from Dragons until 2025) Jake Averillo (2026), Thomas Flegler (Broncos)

Titans: Keenan Palasia (Broncos)

Sea Eagles: Luke Brooks (from Tigers), Tommy Talau (from Tigers), Jaxson Paulo (from Roosters)

Storm: No one signed

Knights: Jed Cartwright (Rabbitohs), Kai Pearce-Paul (Wigan), Will Pryce (Huddersfield), Jack Cogger (2026)

Cowboys: Jake Clifford (Super League), Viliami Vailea (Warriors)

Eels: No one signed

Penrith: Daine Laurie (from Tigers)

Saints: Hame Sele (Rabbitohs)

Souths: Jack Wighton (from Raiders)

Roosters: Spencer Leniu (Panthers), Dominic Young (Knights), Alex Young (development — Newcastle Thunder)

Warriors: Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (union), Chanel Harris-Tavita (gap year)

Tigers: Samuela Fainu (Sea Eagles), Latu Fainu (Sea Eagles), Jayden Sullivan (Dragons), Aidan Sezer (Leeds Rhinos)

Based on the above, it's more proof that the NRL fucked everything up by raising the cap so much and adding a 17th team. They've killed the market. It's shit timing for us when we finally have so much cap space and no one to spend it on. That's why we've ended up with so many scrap heap type signings to try and get to 95% of the cap.

Yep but people still want to bag Gus for not signing a world class halfback and 2 elite props.

Don't overspend too much money on players & don't pay 5/8th money to a centre etc.

They would have better off in the long run to put the money into reserve grade to make them full-time a lot of them some only sign on bonus 5 to 10k and then 1000 per week which they can cut.
