He also revealed Faitala-Mariner may have raised concerns with the way in which Ciraldo had been training the Bulldogs outfit.
“Cameron Ciraldo was so impressed with him when he arrived that he named him club captain... now I am chasing a story this morning that Faitala-Mariner has complained to management in recent weeks,” Rothfield said
“About the training methods of the Bulldogs, that he has been over-trained and that he was an edge forward forced to move in to the middle.
“So there is drama behind the scenes, but I just don’t see how a player who was so highly respected at the beginning of the year has basically been booted out the door.”
Rothfield also suggested Faitala-Mariner may have been speaking on behalf of other players within the squad and will be seeking further clarification.

He's shown alot more than many other forwards we've played this season. These last few rounds need to be opportunities for players like Hughes to show what he has in order to earn a contract extension etc.
We've seen plenty of Knight to know what we are getting
