The more I think about it the more it makes sense.

He is a mediocre ball player but a sensational runner/stepper.

He has a big boot. That can be utilised at the back.

At Fullback he can run and chime in as the third half. Best of both worlds and utility of his strengths.

He also was fullback growing up.

Could be our own Latrell.

Always a bulldog.
He reminds me of greg brentnall

The best fullbacks need to organise, ball play, and get involved.
Just think about Billy slater fir a minute.

The 3 weaknesses you identified in Burton is 3 of Billy slaters strengths.
it’s clear Burton has enough of those for fullback but not enough for half back though

The entire kennel thought Lachlan Lewis to lock was a genius idea, but not our best ball runner to fullback. Hmmmmm

Lachlan Lewis to lock was a dumb idea and barely 10% of the kennel thought it was a good idea so stop talking shit.

Matt Burton to fullback is equally as dumb. Good halves are very hard to come by. We have one and you think moving him to fullback is a good idea ??

Yes it's an excellent idea. Fullbacks are generally more important and paid more than 5/8's.

Yep agreed.

Burto to fullback and let’s run with a Flanno / KO halves combo.

Watch the points flow

Matt Burton isn’t a good half.
A good player yes, but not a good half.
His skill set is his footwork, size, big boot and running game.

That’s either hyperbole or you have way too much free time on your hands Berries
Over the 2-3 years he was a peasant in our team people would post it and her several
Likes every single day on this forum. unlike Lewis , Burton would make an exceptional fullback

If Burton was killing it in the halves you wouldn’t think about moving him to fullback. Facts are he isn’t killing in the halves. Not at 6 and definitely not playing 7.

I believe his attributes suit fullback. Will he get picked there…? Probably not. Is Perham killing it at fullback?

I think Burton would create more havoc and chances playing fullback than he does in the halves currently. I guess can he catch the high ball is the only question in my book?

Hyperbole would have been 1000.
Haha, well you do have too much time on your hands there then!!

Surely the original claim of the “entire kennel thought Lewis to lock is a genius idea” isn’t real though?!?!
Or have you analysed this for accuracy over many hours of assessment too?

While we are here and we both have a lot of time on our hands, are you 101 or not?
