How about a serious comment and call out all the doomers here who said we would get flogged? Seriously the amount of negativity here when we lose is off the charts, some of the biggest calls here about the team you love is embarrassing, it’s beyond a joke. Show your support!

The salary cap is working. Clubs like Penrith, Eels, Storm were unable to keep all their star players. We've now got Mahoney and Kikau and Sutton. Storm lost Kafausi, Bromwich bros, Brandon Smith. We have TPJ and Thompson out, they have Papy and Munster out.
Overall we've got relatively better compared to the Storm with all the player movements.
It wasn't skill level though, it was effort, and lack thereof for 60 minutes that cost the Storm said Bellamy.
Storm were equal 2nd favourites for the premiership going into this weekend. Unless Munster and Papy get on the field, they won't make top 4 though.
Our effort was there, we scored run in tries and we will grow in confidence from that win I hope. We played the same style tonight that Potter had us playing later last season. I wouldn't be crediting CC too much with our try scoring ability tonight, more likely Potter given more reign by CC during the sessions this last week.
How repeatable today's A and D effort will be, lets see next week.
Burton still didn't look like a half, Flanno set up a couple of tries tho. We need Perham and Burton to be going into the line creating space for the runners. At least Burton played both sides of the ruck tonight.
Green shoots. Well done Dogs.

Loved the win.

We'll go even better when Oloapu replaces Flanagan, when Burton learns a passing game to make use of Kikau, and when Pele plays more minutes. Perham too quiet at fullback. Wouldn't mind seeing Skelton get a run at centre too.

This attacking performance is usually something we dish up at the end of the season when we’re already way out of contention for finals.
It’s refreshing to see it at the start of a season. Hopefully it keeps up!!

What a great team effort, played with spirit & enterprise. Some kudos to players that do come fire at times.
Sutton. Was very strong & defense effective. The tackle count does not show how many dominant tackles.
Averillo - had a solid game. The Two tries to Kiraz, he did not over play his hand, with quick service. If he runs an extra metre, the defense would have more time to get to Kiraz.
Some trash commentary talk that Storm was off their game. Instead of the dogs played well & executed a great game plan to indent the storm defensive line.

Lets hope that TPJ watches King and learns from him.
Alamoti was much better today and should improve further.
Kiraz was great always seemed to make ground played one of his best games.
Pele did Ok, pity it wasn't another 20 minutes of it.
The gun will only ever make an NRL ball boy, why oh why do they insist on playing him., he is a hinderence to Burton and the whole team.

Ciraldo's presser had a couple of moments that impressed me. A couple of times journos made suggestions, in a manner that tried to put words into his mouth, to fit their narrative. Instead of agreeing and running with their line, he was pretty firm about presenting his own point of view. That was a decent insight for me of his strength of character.
He was very strong in his views. I liked it.
Journo: "Did you throw caution to the wind?"
Ciro "no thats our style. That's how we will play."

Stuff like that, and we want to attack every play as possible, has new excited.

He turned a sinking ship around in 7 days. He can coach!

Agree it's working to a degree, but ONE particular team gets around salary cap restraints by way of TPA's.

They seem to have more rep players than any other club and poach young talent from other teams at will.

No prizes for guessing who.
