They have permanent charters, for example the NBA has 82 games in season, we only need less than 10 flights.
The cost is say $25k x 10 = $250k, the NRL pays say $100k for commercial flights, that leaves $150k, split 50/50 with the charter company for advertising = $75k. That's the cost of a spot on the back of our shorts.

What does that do to the NRL commercial flight allowance?

Say 10 on commercial and 20 on the private, we would get `2/3rds of the NRL allowance to pay for part of the private jet and ~1/3rd would pay for the commercial seats.

Since we are flying private we can fly any time we like (curfews not withstanding) and would not be restricted to commercial timetables, as a result we could also avoid overnight accommodation and meal costs that the NRL would otherwise pay for.
