100%. When Baird bailed and a deal was cut for Gladys to lead, Perrottet was made Libs deputy for the far-right to lead next time. The Centre right aren’t thrilled with this but for the sake of moving forward agreed. It’s also why Ayres is becoming deputy: he’s from the left faction but has a higher profile than Rob Stokes. He’s Marise Paine’s partner too.

I dont know about you mate, but I think this bloke is so far right that he has gone alll the way around the block..

Get rid of Gladys.. Who's fucking dumb idea was that..?.

Yeah, interesting to see what he tries to change. He’s 18 months from an election seeking a fourth term so he wouldn’t want to be too radical. As for Glad, you’d have to ask ICAC, it’s not like it was an internal coup.

Don’t forget Glad ‘standing aside’ was never an option. That meant Barilaro becoming Premier (or the future Nats leader now he’s going). The Libs would never cede that power to the Nats in the coalition - it creates a precedent they don’t want. That’s why O’Farrell resigned over a bottle of wine which he probably could’ve quite easily cleared his name over.
