Good effort by the boys

We got to remember we have 19 year old kids out there and to have dick heads like Elliott and Lewis disrupt preparations everyone has us losing by 50

To not be able to score a point whilst they had a guy in the bin was disappointing.

Anyway a lot of bad calls today, we got a couple but most went against. It’s disappointing but at-least the team performance overall was better so that’s a positive.

I was proud of the effort today. We got screwed again by one of the Sutton brothers. Both of them are cheats.

Turbo dropped the ball when we were up. In the lead up to that try they got 3 six again calls on top of 3 shephards that Sutton allowed. The muppets in the box got it wrong.

Smashed in 6 agains and penalties.

Allen challenged for a bomb and gets penalised for tackling Turbo in the air.

Hethrington on report for a slap across the shoulder. Stimpson on report for a hair pull.

Cherry Evans tried to trip Wakeham in the first half and nothing said.

We had 37% of the ball.

We don't have the talent but the effort was there for all to see.

Bunker "Shaun Kempie has played at the ball", Kempie not even playing in the game.

You have to give them credit, getting it half right is a pretty good accomplishment.

What is Biodo-Mbye's position? Is tbaz going to shuffle this guy and turn him into the new Mbye with no set position? Jack of all trades like Mbye?

A Great game from the dogs, especially with less than 40% possession. Some notable moments.
* Stimson had his best game of the season. Was not that bad last week also..
* Wakeham. Also his best game, not perfect but better.
* Okunbor go forward.
* Kotoa, not to bad in the first half. ( can't believe I would ever say this)
NOT SO GOOD.
* difference in the game is the end of set high kicks. The Bulldogs are rarely contested. While Manly are contested each time . Just not believable that a first grade HB like flannagan does not know how t kick a ball. If you look at the angle of the ball he kicks, he will never get the ball to float or spiral.
* Schoupp. Positional in defense is vulnerable. Also runs to sideways, needs to straighten. Still has potential.
* All the 50: 50 calls go against us. Can only assume that the Ref's do not want a controversy call against a top 4 team. Besides Tom's not try, when a players has obstructed, he then can't take advantage with a long pass that sets up a try.

Really proud of the Dogs effort & against the odds.

The score was not a reflection of the game. many had 63% possession and some blatantly poor decisions from the ref. We never get the 50/50s.

A couple of weeks ago Okunbur had his hair pulled hard in a tackle - and nothing from the ref.

was a gutsy effort, Manly had plenty of help. A fair go and different result. Boys did good and better than i expected

I think he looks so much better at hooker personally but it’s a very small sample size of seeing what he can do in the NRL.

The ref made sure we knew that going near Trbojevic when he's going for the ball, will result in a penalty.

We may not have won the game if we'd had a fair share of possession, but we sure didn't deserve to lose.
Manly needed multiple repeat sets and penalties to score against us.

I can see the NRL using the mental well being angle for that performance. After big bad Robbo laid into them they are all in a fragile state.. oh woe is me......(sobs and wrings hands together)

Nows the day for Barrett to rip in at the press conference , the NRL would then have to fine Robinson also too. They would be reluctant against their pin-up boy.

It was obvious we were not going to be allowed to win. Worst performance from a referee this year. Manly got away with everything but the kick at Jackson, while we re penalised on suspicion.
