This is possibly the worst argument I have seen, and I keep seeing it

"it only represents a small percentage of the population"

Cool. So let's look at another small percentage. Lebanese. If it was legal to beat and kill Lebanese Australians. Would you vote against changing the law?

It's only a small section of the population.
I’m not sure where you’re going with this.

Just pointing out that you shouldn't accept wrongdoing to a group just because they are a smaller group. That's literally how genocide starts.

Possibly text other concrete jesus and ask how many people their old man really killed compared to the devil then maybe talk about chicks then go fishing
I don't think I've seen a concrete Jesus that isn't giving a what the fuck pose. You know the one, arms out to the side palms up.

Hacky, if you kill us all, there would only be 1000 or so people at every dogs home game.

Why do these happy clappers always go for the Nazi salute?

Although Buddhists: Hold my beer...

Nazi? I don't see anything Nazi in that photo!

I see a symbol which has a meaning to a billion Hindus and hundreds of millions of Buddhists that the Nazi (Socialist) Party stole from them, flipped around and made ignorant Westerners think Hindu's and Buddhists are Nazi's.

All these photos being put in this thread are attacking the leaders of the church right? For 3 days you guys have been arguing that you are not taking the piss out of the followers but the leaders? Look at these posts you guys are clearly mocking anyone religious whether it's Christianity/Islam/Hindus and Buddhists!

Atheists have so much hatred in their hearts they are so blind too see it! I can see why the USSR/Atheists killed 20-50 Million people (Closer to 50) to force the people into being atheists/secular/socialists and I can also see why the people had enough and in the early 90's Christianity came back to Eastern Europe through no violence!

You don't mock peoples beliefs? Yet you said " lol unsurprising. I suppose if they spent the money stolen from people dying on a giant useless statue you'd be impressed. " How many people who believe did you just mock in that one sentence? but you don't mock right? Not just Christians but Hindu's, Buddhists etc.

Also " All religions are equal in my eyes. All I do is point out the lies, hypocrisy, corruption, greed and the lack of morals and ethics all religions have including yours. You can chose to wilfully ignore those aspects, but that says more about you than it does about me. "

If that's not mocking or looking down on people who believe then LOL

See it's easy to mock the church and all the people who are of faith but when the people of faith try and defend the faith you types cannot take it!
Some people who are atheists are criminals, drug dealers, pedophiles, greedy MF and unmoral like some people of faith!

You mock the religious institutes also but what's the atheist equivalent? The former USSR? China? or any other Socialist/Communist state built on the "Utopia" of no religion and equality? Oh yes no corruption in those societies, the 100million murdered to try and reign in Religion was made up aye?

Oh wait they're bad examples aye? What about Secular Western countries? Not one person is corrupt or pigs in those governments? lol

Easy to mock the Church but hard to accept the alternate is worse.
It's a bad example because there is no equivalent. Atheists don't have a bound dogma they abide by, it's a disbelief in (a) God(s) - assuming you don't believe in Zeus you're also technically an Atheist.

When others point out problems with the leadership of religions or if they point out problems in some belief practices of religion, why is it that you get so defensive?

Why is it that you don't question that belief first, to figure whether the criticism is justified or not?

If the criticism isn't justified, why don't you engage normally to set people straight?

@CaptainJackson I know you didn't direct these questions at me, but;

When others point out problems with the leadership of religions or if they point out problems in some belief practices of religion, why is it that you get so defensive?

We don't get defensive. We acknowledge there are problems in leadership - I myself have said that in this very thread and even mentioned the current Pope. It's not the leadership I defend, it's the Religion which they are meant to represent.

Why is it that you don't question that belief first, to figure whether the criticism is justified or not?

Neither I or @ouwet will ever question our beliefs, and you'll find most Lebanese Catholics - Maronite, Melkite, Roman etc... are the same. Thousands of years of history, education, as well as logic-defying miracles are some of the reasons we never question our faith.

If the criticism isn't justified, why don't you engage normally to set people straight?

He's attempting to do so, then when people keep attacking or criticising him, how do you expect him to react?

But see Wahesh, these two items are related. This thread was started about corruption of a leader of a church, it descended into something else. I personally feel this is a very big topic. Especially because 40 people died at St Basil's aged care due to COVID and that reports and the royal commission into private aged care homes was very very damning. There were old people who had soiled nappies for days and yet these are supposed to be private aged care homes where people pay a little bit extra to be looked after. Royal commissions and reports found that these private aged care homes became a "perfect storm" for COVID to spread within it, so basically proper care was not being provided in these homes.

Why would you not question your beliefs? Isn't that blindly following?

Thousands of years of history had humans at one stage worshipping the sun, until we questioned and worked out the sun is just a ball of gas and not a god.
