lewis has a good one on one tackle when players are running onto his shoulder but he is a shit defender. like most of our backs over the last five years he can't make a defensive read to save his fucking life.

Puts pressure on defenders next to him as they get outside him due to his lack of speed

He misses one or two out of ten.. The way the guy covers is dead set bulldog like, the kind that have put us in GFs... If he was bulkier or his attack was above average he would be in the 17.

he is not a good defender, teams target him because he goes to low, gets dominated in the tackle, then they target where he should be in the defensive line

Why would he be playing 6 when he isn't first or second option? Maybe working towards a 14 role...

Not denying he has been caught out plenty of times when he goes low when should go high but when he gets it right at the right times there arent many better at it in the comp and certainly not at the club.

There's heaps better lol, seriously turn it up. He's a good front on defender for a half and that's it. There's a reason his try causes and line break causes were so high last season

Defending at half and defending at centre are two completely different situations .
Half is more one on one tackles with the edge backrower ( which he goes well in ) or sliding off and helping the centre out .

As a centre your making decisions whether to jam or slideoff against most likely the oppositions most lethal players . He would be terrible there , don’t get it mixed, him training their is a statement of how baz thinks of him as a half .

Only in the squad as depth and will not see fg unless injuries .

So we're playing a 3 1/2 forward bench lol. I prefer a back/half on the bench...not keen on JMK/Katoa playing in the halves if one goes down.

Guy is like an octopus if he wraps his arms around ya. He is one of the best defenders at the club, pity the rest lacks NRL standard.

If Katoa doesn't get lazy, stamina is up so he can throw decent balls from the ruck then he is a shoe in. Until he addresses those issues he is a shit option.

Haha No idea most likely 40 mins or so . Jackson could do well this year as a middle forward if he punches 60+ mins and so will Elliot if he is 80 mins on a edge .
Issue with the latter are missed tackles though .

I do know this.. His inside shoulder is useless when his line speed is up and he doesn't have the best lateral movement because he plants his feet. His best attribute in d is the front on and has a very decent hit and stick.. No idea why you would not consider him as a utility when not many have seen if he can actually play multiple positions.
