A speaker at the event, Gwenda Stanley, told a crowd of more than 500 people that it was time Indigenous Australians were given proper reparations.

The thing is that some may be carrying on about changing the date when what they really mean is that they don't actually want a day at all. The date gets changed and you know damn well some will still be complaining and we're right back in the same position again.
