One interesting thing you learn while studying Psychology is that most good leaders have some level of psychopathy. It helps in so many aspect politics if you're at least a mild psychopath.
They seem to have assessed him as further "gone" than mild psychopathy ;)

Watching the Outsiders on Sky News as it's always entertaining. The best part was when they said:

"Joe Biden said he's going to combat Coronavirus, systemic racism and climate change. One of those is on the way out, one no longer exists, and one never existed. So his job is done"

A reminder that Conservative commentators are the laughing stock of humanity.

It helps in a lot of ways. Helps with lying, helps with making decisions that hurt people, helps with the ol' career stabby stabby.

Estimates are about 1% of the general population are diagnosable for Anti-social personality disorder, the current official term for psychopaths/sociopaths, and about 2-3% of the general population that have elements of APD. Estimates for CEOs usually run between 10 and 30%.

Trump is now threatening to start his own tv station or buy one out to compete against Fox and Murdoch...seems they are the latest fools Trump is blaming for the loss.

Sky is even more radically in favour of Trump so he should be happy with Ruperts Australian arm I guess.

It goes even further than that. Most have a decent ability to read people which is very effective for business and political deals.

Of course there's different levels of it. Which is why you often find debates in psychology about the generalisation of AsPD instead of separating them into the different levels. But that's much like many disorders being collated into ASD now days. It has its major benefits but also causes diagnostic problems. But that's another thing altogether.

With what money?

Actually I hope he goes for it. Hard to see anyone beating Rupert at the media game when it comes to making money out of it. Gina Reinhart has more money than Trump and her foray into media ownership didn't last long.

Hence a lot of psychologists will talk about "features" of this or that PD. But yes, they are sometimes scarily good at reading people, it seems to happen at a subconscious level. A theory that has some interesting points has to do with them being unclouded or less clouded by reactions to emotional cues, which would be considered normative.

The same clowns are predicting that the USA will be "begging for Trump to run again in 2024". That's the thing with delusion and belief systems - facts and reality are the first casualties.

Many people just want others to take over their lives for them, so they can stop worrying about what's happening, and how to cope. They are the ones who fall for faith healers, TV evangelists, and charlatans. Once hooked, they stay loyal until a more charismatic fraudster comes along.

Murdoch has run hard for the conservatives in the Eden Monaro by-election, ACT, NT, Qld, and US elections. And he got the lot wrong, backing the wrong horse every time. You'd think some element of common sense would start to make his editors and journalists realise that they are playing a fool's game working for an old, spiteful, billionaire. Murdoch's last words will be "Rosebud".

There lots to come on this election fraud ... The US media are just as corrupt as Biden Camp ... Who the hell is going to Vote for Higher Taxes..
People generally vote based on more than one policy. And considering that the tax increase is only an increase for people who earn more than $300k per year, I don't think most Americans are concerned about it.
