the margin for error is greater lol
Sorry I should have explained myself better. It was wet so we played tighter and simplified our game so much more than it already is. Allowed our talentless bunch to not try rise higher than their ceiling which creates more errors. If everyone single game going forward was in pouring rain id be confident we could avoid the spoon.

You knuckleheads will never realise that Ogden & To'omaga are bench impact players who cannot play for more than 20 minute stints.
Rubbish, toomaga played 80 in a pre season trial in the middle of summer and did great..

When the fuck has he been tried, in order to know? .. I agree Ogden has some glaring defensive issues..

Bought the opposition down to our level.

Middle fucking terrible defence. Kotoa was also terrible. Once JMK came off the middle was as soft as butter.
That is exactly what happened... We desperately need a tough hooker to lock up the middle and have JMK as the utility.

I thought thats what you meant with your first post. Less ball movement etc etc. My point was we stuck to a game plan. Didnt force errors. No need for Holland to throw that flick pass on half way when we finally get the ball to be in a position at the end of the set to have a crack at the try line with 12 to go.

Georgallis pretty much said in the post match press conference that we lack leadership, so he should take the (c) off Jackson for the rest of the season & command the experienced players to stand up. Next weekend should be a GF for us to avoid the spoon

Wonder if Georgy is going to drop Lewis for that second half capitulation, like he dropped cogger..
No Georgalis looks like he's given up too so will leave the halves.

I think we all know Ogden is very lazy in defence.
Very lazy and little lateral movement......solid in attack and good post tackle metres.....relatively keen in attack, but in defence he does not have the same enthusiasm. Good post contact metres, but we also need some quick play the balls to keep the momentum and he is a little like Tolman and often kills that momentum. I quite honestly believe that the Doggies are the most unfit outfit in the competition.....towards then end of each stanza we are slowing down and not coming up in defence.....position teams no this and simple put us under increased pressure and we stress out........need a lot of work in the off-season.

Couldn't give a flying fuck the team is coming last, I pay my money and I want them as fit as the Roosters

I agree, both are impact players who come off the bench.

Please dont compare trials to NRL, otherwise Lewis and Holland would be immortalised

I compared in terms of stamina alone. Playing 80 as a prop in the middle of summer (trial or not) dispelled the myth that he has no motor and can't last more than 20 minutes.

When has he been given the opportunity to show he can play longer minutes in the season proper? So how can you be so sure he can't do it...

What do you mean again thats the only bad game hes had at fullback!
He needs to be moved back to right centre. Brian Kelly has been pretty underrated lately especially with his aggression, I'm not confident with Holland defending him.

Unfit and line speed in defence is a good indicator of that.
Ogden & Kotoa woeful today in defence.

He has been given longer minutes and just like yesterday evening, when he is huffing and puffing he gets found out in defence, just like the try he let in

I don't care what anyone says, Foran is going to be a massive loss next year. You think our attack is bad now? Just you wait. What Foran brings isn't replaceable (for 400k!). We get a traditional halfback as his replacement but if you have little to no firepower what good is it? Foran and RFM is our best combination and it isn't going to be here next year.

I'm also going to assume a lot of fans think Foran went missing, we had literally no ball in the second half.

Raiders, one player in the bin, on their own try line, give them a penalty, results to two tries... seriously? It was a dud call on the DWZ escort, but the damage was done beforehand. We're not good at regaining momentum.

Also ruck infringements on the first should be a penalty, especially if it's in your own half. It's blatantly being abused by the defending team.

I'M DESPERATE FOR A WINNING FEELING.

That's all I've got to say for tonight, good night.

2020 is looking like only the second season in our club's history that there hasn't been a player that has scored multiple tries in a game for our club. The other was 1957. That in it's self says something.
I thought Meaney scored a double. Might be wrong though.

Napa looks puffed after 3 minutes and tolman never looks puffed or tired , but gets dominated in both defence and attack, so not much point in having him fresh.

Also if the coach tells a player that he's only going to be on for 20-30 , I'm sure it's expected that that player will leave nothing in the tank for that entire time and will need to be heavily involved the entire stint.. as opposed to a prop that will play 60-80, who will get to chose his moments more carefully of when to get involved and conserve energy. Staff condition players according to the role they want that player to play..

Case in point.. toomaga ran for 111 metres in 22 minutes. Tolman ran for 145 in 66 minutes..
In one third the minutes RT almost matched tolmans output in attack.

show me a game where toomaga has been given longer than 50 minutes and done poorly...
