So it says he is doing it tough because he has no family here, his GF cannot come here because of the Covid situation etc and he may consider going home because of all of this....
Ok, no worries, fair enough...But in the same article it is written " There is even talk that Gold Coast is watching on with interest because Justin Holbrook was his coach at St Helens."
What relevance is this if he has home sickness?

Another media beatup. Assholes make it sound like he is going to top himself in the headline. Guess they need a new punching bag now Seibold has gone.

Halfway through the article

"Asked if he feared Thompson wanted to go home permanently, Hill added: “No, I have been talking to him. He is committed."

fuck you all make out living in a cool country away from everyone is the hardest thing. no sympathy.

you have a plethora of new expereiences and adventures to do, and you have zoom and google hangout.

genuinely no sympathy here.

ppl do it every day with nothing to their name.

It’s not good if he’s not happy and I certainly don’t want him to be depressed but if we could get our money back now I’d be all for it.

Hopefully he asks and is granted an immediate release and returns home, best thing for both him and the club.

Also wouldn't be surprised if this was another BS leak from the club to try and ease pressure and give another "reason" as to why our marquee recruit is looking like a massive FLOP.

They'd only give all of Thompson's money to Tolman anyway.

Tolman is just a slower, but better version of Thomson so some of our fans will be happy with that

It’s no media beat up, it’s reflected in his on field performances; he’s homesick his girlfriend wasn’t allowed a visa, compounded by the horrendous culture at our Club now (mass sackings)compared to what he’s been used to...

This could be bitter sweet for us and a blessing in disguise whilst I am sorry to hear that he is homesick and that he has no one here he has to either accept it and get on with what we are paying him to do or cut his stay short and let us spend his money else where because we cannot afford another failed signing ... us Kennel loyal supporters have had enough and we can't wait any longer for some improvement so Thompson has to either man up, play hard or fly back home so our club can move on to hopefully bigger and better things! Up the DOGGIESSSS!!!

Of course it was too early to judge this bloke.
Came early in the middle of a pandemic, will be on his third coach by November, likely can’t go home for Christmas, can’t get his woman here, can’t go to the pub for a feed and on your own all you do is train, play and FaceTime with your nearest and dearest. Give the bloke a break - once some of the other issues improve so will he and his form.

Mate I hope it is TRUE, we need to spend his $700K on someone who runs hard and actually runs for more than 70M per game! Fingers crossed it is true as we need some positive news and it was not from us signing an injured Green for 2021

Would not be surprised, the lock down in Australia sucks.

Also the club stinks at the moment, there is no way he is going to enjoy his footy without family support. He is certainly not going to enjoy his footy playing in this dud-build oops sorry rebuild by the board.

Bullfrog would never allowed a guy from england to be living by himself useless pricks
He’s in the bubble mate - he can’t live with anyone who’s not and only 50 people are in the bubble, clearly limiting options. This is not a normal year or situation, it’s nothing to do with being useless.

Pretty stupid hey. Bullfrog would have had his missus smuggled in weeks ago.
Still id rather the cash back, plenty people do it much much worse for 40 grand a year.
A softer jacko.
Peoples loved ones pass away, and they still play on weekends.
Theres more to it, doesnt want to be at canterbury i reckon.
Another one in the feather for hill and lyn. Absolute shambles.
Wasnt expecting much more to be honest.
