I remember he had 1 good game 3 years ago. He scored a try, maybe 2 and set up 2 more, made over 230mtr with 6 tackle busts. He scored over a 100 fantasy points. Since that day he has averaged 20 odd fantasy point. Makes Anasta look like a clever half. Is with Ben Hunt the most overrated players in NRL.

Honestly never saw the hype around Mbye even when he was a junior coming through. It was ridiculous that Castle and Hasler even offered him that money when they did. Does not have one ounce of footy smarts about him. He single handedly lost us the 2014 grand final.

I will say that Mbye definitely was a victim of not having one position. Was always just a utility guy that plugged the hole. In saying this, he's spent the last year and a bit at Centre and has done nothing. Spent a couple years at fullback and still couldn't catch. Spend a few years in the halves and did a DWZ and played the ball backwards in the 2015 Semi v Roosters - OG's will remember that lol.

I don't get it with M' Bye.

He has pace, he is athletic, has ball skills, can play multiple positions and comes across as intelligent man when interviewed.

Yet he can't seem to get it together on the field. On paper he should be a great player but on the field he is just another average FG player.

The reason he gets these big contracts is because he has all the attributes to be really good and everyone is waiting for it to happen but it seems like it never will and he is quickly running out of time.
