What was more embarrassing in todays game?
DWZ play the ball or Tolmans tap
What I don't get is why can't the dummy half just grab him quickly and stop him from playing it the wrong way? Foz could've stopped it if he was paying attention.
That is our problem..we don't have a player that will take the game by the scruff of the neck and direct the team around the field. I was looking to Foran to do something but he could not deliver. We had most of the stats in the game on our side but just could not finish it off. Disappointing indeed. We had about 6 cracks at their line with line dropouts as well. Just wasn't our game. Was ours to win we just didn't have that final try in us.
Very true unfortunately. Hopefully we get a few more class players before next season and we can get some better results. And if all the hype about Barrett is true he'll hopefully get the best out of a few more players too. That is our problem..we don't have a player that will take the game by the scruff of the neck and direct the team around the field. Hopefully this will be the start of something positive for the club. It has been a depressing few years with poor results and we are about due something. The jury is out on Barrett after his less than spectacular past coaching record at Manly with a 40% success rate and he burnt a few bridges there when he upset Bob Fulton's daughter but he is making all the right sounds now and he has impressed me thus far. Probably been said to death but we can't get any worse.Very true unfortunately. Hopefully we get a few more class players before next season and we can get some better results. I'm not sold on him yet. He's well spoken but relatively inexperienced. He's got a good opportunity to shape the team with some cap space, admittedly the talent available on the market isn't ideal, but fingers crossed we nab a few more good signings and at least jump away from being wooden spoon contenders.Hopefully this will be the start of something positive for the club. That is quite a reasonable statement too. Uncharted waters for both parties and it will depend a lot on who we can sign to boost the team. We certainly need the most strengthening in the halves, hooker spots and some decent options all over the field. If he is a good man manager that will help and it also depends how his knowledge of the game and approach to coaching is developing. Yep, with errors that could only be learnt at the university of stupid, and soft penalties giving field dominance to the Eels, we were never going to win. Take away the dumb stuff, and we could have beaten them by 6+. The ruling on Montoya's try made a difference, too - why not refer the incident to the bunker? Overall, an improvement, but we should never have given them an 18 point start. We had about 6 cracks at their line with line dropouts as well. Just wasn't our game. Jackson is also not threatening in attack and stifles the right hand side. He needs to be moved to lock and we need to find a new edge backrow who can run lines either internally or from another clubYep, with errors that could only be learnt at the university of stupid, and soft penalties giving field dominance to the Eels, we were never going to win. At least today showed us that we can compete with the top sides, if we can control the ball, and stop the errors.
That role would suit Thompson.Jackson is also not threatening in attack and stifles the right hand side. He needs to be moved to lock and we need to find a new edge backrow who can run lines either internally or from another club
