Anyone else preparing for the Pandemic announcement? Not that I'm a full blown prepper, but having a 6 month old grandson that I don't want anywhere near someone with this virus, I'm preparing to work from home for at least two weeks if/when the announcement is made.
I go to Japan in a little over a month in not extremely concerned but one eyebrow is raised atm

They’ll get infected first as they’ll be weak from their vegan diets :grinning:
Heart disease is a big risk factor when it comes to chance of fatality, so the lower cholesterol will probably give them an advantage. ;)

Yes but he said it wasn't much good. Soap and water is far more effective I think the message was.

That's a bit hard out on the street etc though :grinning:

I did not realise how dumb, greedy to balance the books or beholden to China? the Australian Government is in regards to Chinese University students and the possibility of allowing Corona Virus to take hold here.

I know its 24 mins long but watch this shit.

Hacky said that stuff is not very effective I believe! Can you confirm Hacky?
Yes and no. The most effective is soap and water (actual soap is better than hand wash). But apparently some hand sanitisers work against Coronavirus. They don't work so well against other viruses and Bacteria though

Hard to say at this stage. It's main course of killing people is that it can lead to pneumonia, so it's more likely to kill people with weaker immune systems or without decent hospital care.
I cancelled both my trips in April & July. Very sad about this, as my specialist advised to travel now and don't leave it until 65 as my ability to move will suck by then.

I promised my wife when we first meet, stick with me babe and I'll show you the world and I have been trying to do that while my health is ok.

Little know fact most Parkinson sufferers die of pneumonia.

But as the old saying goes "No need to tempt fate".

I don't think Chinese eating dog is much worse than leaving dogs locked in a house with only a cup of dry biscuits that they hate for 12 hours every day.. do that to a human and it's called torture

We're now at 81,310 cases with 2,771 deaths.

Since yesterday there has been 325 new cases reported outside China with most in Italy and the surrounding areas. The virus is now spreading faster outside China than inside China.

Sony, EA, Facebook and Kojima Productions have all pulled out of the upcoming gaming conferences in America (GDC and Pax East) out of fear of the virus.

So has it now been confirmed that deaths, other than asians, have occurred? ie the deaths in Italy and Iraq are locals and not visitors or Chinese who have immigrated?

(Not wishing to be racsist, just curious as there is no news on their ethnicity).
