Broncos stars Jack Bird and Matt Lodge have reportedly turned on each other during a heated altercation during an off-field bonding session on the Gold Coast.
The Courier-Mail first reported on Wednesday that the two representative stars had to be pulled apart by teammates.
The report claims multiple witnesses have confirmed the pair were involved in a physical scuffle during the pre-season bonding and training camp on the Gold Coast, but the club is yet to confirm any details of the alleged incident.
The physical scrap reportedly occurred while some teammates were out drinking at the Burleigh Pavilion, following an earlier training session at a nearby beach.
The team returned to Brisbane together on the same bus following the incident.
Reports claim Lodge was not drinking during the bonding session and he has not consumed alcohol in four years.
Lodge and Bird are reported to have already patched up their differences and attended the same team dinner on Saturday night back in Brisbane.

They also attended the same function on Sunday, held by a club official.
Lodge and Bird have been in the headlines throughout the NRL off-season after reports the star front-rower is being considered as a captaincy option should skipper Darius Boyd lose the position.
Bird has also had a difficult summer after reports claimed the star centre was free to leave the Broncos at the end of the 2019 season, but was unable to secure a deal at a rival club willing to take on his rich contract.
It remains unclear if the altercation has impacted Lodge’s chances of taking on the position of captain for the 2020 season.
Lodge has emerged as a senior leader at the club in recent years in a dramatic turnaround following his early exile from the NRL.
Lodge was apprehended after he forced himself into a Manhattan apartment in 2015 and assaulted Joseph Cartright while his wife Ruth Fowler and their nine-year-old child hid.
Lodge was ordered to pay more than $1.6 million in damages in the case, after he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanour reckless assault charge.

Despite the Broncos refusing to make any public comment on the club’s on-field leadership for next year, widespread reports claimed Boyd was resigned to relinquishing the captaincy after an end of season meeting with coach Anthony Seibold.
Lodge has also kept his position in the club’s leadership group after the club confirmed a new-look seven-man leadership group last month.
Storm recruit Brodie Croft joined Boyd, Payne Haas, Patrick Carrigan, Tevita Pangai, Alex Glenn and Lodge as the team’s senior leaders for 2020.
The alleged physical altercation is yet another blow to the club following an off-season from hell.
The club has been under pressure since the end of the season following reports several high profile players were busted playing pokies at a Sydney nightspot the night before their elimination final thumping against Parramatta.
Emerging superstar David Fifita was also arrested and eventually released following an alleged assault case outside a Bali nightclub in November.
