HI JAMES HOOPER!!!
HOPE YOU ENJOY THE SITE!
HOPE YOU ENJOY THE SITE!
Source?Hooper is a wankers. It's for 5 years and more than a mil a year plus extras he has asked for. Where the fuck do these journos get this bullshit from
For the next Greg Inglis??Way to much money
Five eighth maybe... He is like 6 foot 3 and 100 kg... Might get too fat like Inglis. His goal kicking would be a bonus as wellnot sure he would be signing to play on as a centre
Yet another article (might be Hoopers) claims he is on $850k a season at the moment.Clearly it's a lot of stabbing in the dark, this is on Brisbane Times right now,
Bulldogs preparing $5m, five-year offer for Latrell Mitchell
The Bulldogs are hatching an audacious $5 million play for Latrell Mitchell that would make the dumped Blues star one of the highest-paid players in NRL history.
An intermediary acting for the Bulldogs secretly met with Mitchell’s father, Matt, to discuss the prospect of the young Roosters superstar leaving for Belmore on a $1 million-per-annum deal over five years. While no offer has yet been tabled, it is an indication of the sort of salary the Roosters star can command if he puts himself on the open market.
Mitchell is contracted to the Roosters until the end of 2020, but rival clubs can begin tabling official offers from November 1. The Bulldogs snuck under everyone’s guard when they poached Kiwis captain Dallin Watene-Zelezniak from Penrith and now have their sights set on an even bigger coup.
A $5 million payday would make the 22-year-old one of the game’s highest-paid stars. He would join a select few able to command a long-term, seven-figure annual payday that includes Daly Cherry-Evans, Ben Hunt, Jason Taumalolo, Sam Burgess and Anthony Milford.
News of Canterbury’s interest, just days after Mitchell scored two tries against his potential future suitor, adds another layer of complexity in the Roosters’ bid to retain him on an upgraded and extended deal.

'Roosters pay his bills, not NSW': Snubbed Mitchell could re-assess Origin future
The Herald revealed in May that under his existing contract, Mitchell is earning only about $450,000 for the current season. While that figures rises by about $100,000 for the following year, it is about half of what Canterbury and other clubs are prepared to pay him.
The discrepancy is one of the reasons Mitchell split with long-time manager Steve Deacon and recently joined rival agent Wayde Rushton. It is understood Mitchell has been made aware of the Bulldogs’ interest and it may be one of several factors contributing to a dip in form. There have been other setbacks, such as the death of family members in recent weeks and the charging of his brother Lionel for assault stemming from an incident in April.
It’s unclear where the Bulldogs view the long-term positional future of Mitchell, who can play fullback, centre or in the halves. However, the blue and whites feel he is the marquee recruit they can build their club around to help them climb the ladder, as well as attracting other big-names to Belmore.
Mitchell was the hottest player in rugby league last month after producing a masterclass performance against Wests Tigers. The Taree product hasn’t been able to maintain that level, although his ommission from Brad Fittler’s team for Origin II remains a shock.
The fact the Bulldogs are in a position to even contemplate making such a long and lucrative offer shows how quickly their salary cap position has changed. The Family Club appeared hamstrung on the recruitment front for several years, but a mass exodus of big-money players - including James Graham, Josh Reynolds, Moses Mbye, Aaron Woods and David Klemmer - has left them in a position to target big names from November 1.
While the Roosters are keen to keep Mitchell, they won’t be able to compete in a bidding war for his services given the number of internationals already on their books.

Or it could be the board trying to save their arses with a big signingThis is a massive smokescreen for sure.....I wonder what they are covering up?
Knowing our luck the NRL with Politis will decrease the cap just to fcuk the dogs...1 mill a year in 5 years time may not be as big a sum as it seems right now. With salary cap rises in the future this could be a very smart deal. Let’s be honest it would take a lot to get him out of the roosters but it’s definately the type of deal to get him thinking. Exactly what we need
Dominated chambers in gf last yearhes hardly a cooper cronk jt or cam smith, hes good but not a big game winner and not worth anywhere near that
Ponga will make double that over 10 years... Probably in rugbyYikes captain risky move.
I’d rather do that for Ponga...
Any way we don’t know how to use him he would be a waste .My opinion ( and that's all it is) that your all getting worked up.over nothing.
He ain't coming never was never will.
Though I must admit it is nice to dream every now and then.
Greg Inglis started on the wing, then centre, then 5/8, then Fb then back to centre. Arguably the best footy player I have ever seen in the modern game next to Thurston and Smith... Latrell is right up that ally. His a centre that does 8 hitups a game. His not worth it
Its a fair point... JT is a different kettle of fish, his just a footballer.. Latrell seems to be an all over shop kid like Idris.Any player manager worth his money will negotiate a ratchet clause into a long term deal for a marquee player.
My issue is I don't see Latrell remaining motivated if we give him a 10 year deal, he seems like the type of player who will become lazy and uninterested if he knows he's guaranteed to be looked after for the rest of his life.
