Not his fault though. Foran came in 'cause he had no forward support. Montoya came in to cover Foran's hole. Crichton is left 2 on 1.

Its just really poor defensive structure which shows really poor coaching.

The outside backs on one edge want to defend in the Centre of the field. Making it too easy for the dragons

You don't have to run to the centre of the field though! And If you do, you better make the tackle or at least get a deflection and break up the play.

You can still come in and hedge then retreat while your teammates slide over.

In Crightons situation he had to take Norman who was wrapping around the centre... Montoya had his man and Norman creating the extra man left Crighton with the decision to take out the likely ball player.

Montoya shouldn't be that far in but Chrichton can do better than completely taking himself out of the play considering they're at halfway. Just hold your line and hang back til reinforcements come. Rushing in just makes it easier for the other team and takes him out of the equation.
