For sure. Meanwhile Dib and Castle sat back and let him do it, giving him more power, money, resources and patience than any other Canterbury coach in history.

To think of the great coaches we've had at this club and how none of them came close to being afforded the same luxuries...

Des will haunt me til I'm in my grave. And it's been so long since a premiership that who knows when we'll be close to contending again?
