NEWLY appointed Kangaroos skipper and South Sydney Rabbitohs superstar Greg Inglis has allegedly been caught drink driving.

The 31-year-old NRL star was driving back from Dubbo this afternoon, where he had spent the weekend playing in the Koori Knockout round, when he was pulled over by police.

The incident came hours after Inglis was named Australia’s captain over Roosters star Boyd Cordner to take on Tonga.

At 2.15pm today, officers attached to the traffic and highway patrol command were conducting stationary speed enforcement on the Great Western Highway at Lithgow detected a black Mercedes Benz travelling above the speed limit,” a NSW Police spokeswoman told news.com.au.

“Police stopped the car and performed a roadside breath test on the driver, a 31-year-old man from Coogee, which allegedly returned a positive result.”

Inglis was arrested and taken to Lithgow Police Station where he underwent a breath analysis which allegedly returned a result of 0.085.

He was issued a field court attendance notice for mid-range drink driving and a traffic infringement notice for exceed speed limit.

His licence was suspended and he is due to appear in Lithgow Local Court on November 2nd.

Looking forward to a juicy fine for this one. And to be stood down from Kangaroos captaincy. Has there been a bloke appointed captain of his country then dumped the next day?

Fucking Elliot if he was any sort of decent human he would of been designated driver, fine him and the Bulldogs.
As for GI poor fella had to come to Dubbo that's enough punishment for him.

Reckon the bloke counts his drinks like how he thought a field goal would win the game when they were behind by 2
