I don't mind Frawley but imo he's not really that great. I agree with you I'd like to see Foran #7 and Cleeland #6. I think the experience favours Frawley in pay's mind and also the fact he was a raider at one stage. ATM or that we know of they both have shit defence. So Cleeland taking frawleys spot in the halves imo is the better way to go.

Why do people wanna play Foran at 7 - he's a waste there and has played his best footy at 6. You may as well play me at 7.

Frawley showed enough before our season derailed last year to be given a go and i also rate cleeland. Probably frawley gets first shot as he has more fg experience

I don’t rate Frawley at all and it’s a massive concern going forward that he’s a starting half. He doesn’t really compliment Foran either with both having similar strengths. He might come out and surprise me after having a full off season to get the chemistry going with teammates but I’m not holding out much hope.

No point judging from the past people can change. And he's getting a crack in the 7 and that is were the coach decided he will play. so he must be decent enough at least for trial. who knows he could change your mind.

Doesn't really matter. I expect he'll play both sides and switch between first and second receiver.

I don't rate Frawley on last years effort but he was playing in a very sad attacking structure that wasn't his fault. I think Pay had him at Canberra for a year so maybe he see's something.

All these guys deserve a chance to prove themselves under Dean Pay.
I except everyone's opinion on this forum but I also urge everyone to not pass judgment on what they've seen thus far .
Des Hasler killed off many a players career.
I believe guys like Lachlan Lewis , Josh Cleelend etc will become household names in the next year or two.

I don't mind Frawley. His kicking is good and when he's taken the opportunity to take on the line it's proven to be pretty succesful. He does take forever to get set for kicks in general play though. I wouldn't say he's anything more than a solid half from what I've seen. Hopefully he goes better if our forwards are improved and the rest of the team offers better support play. He's a work in progress as far as I'm concerned.

Is it just me that doesn't rate him at all.. i would love to see us play josh cleeland beside foran!!! That kid oozes talent! Thoughts?
Frawley was never a star in reserve grade while Cleeland has been for a few years including the last 2. Cleeland should have received a call up last year when we had nothing to lose. He deserves and I would like to see him get first shot this season but if he doesn't work out Frawley can be the fall back as he is solid.

I don't know if either of them are the answer otherwise Pay wouldn't have signed Cogger. Surely if Cleeland was as good as people say he would have debuted somewhere by now, he'll be 27 in July. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I haven't really seen enough of Cleland to say if he is better or not. I personally don't think Frawley is very good but who knows maybe Des did stuff him up. Maybe outside a half who knows how to control a team and game he will be better.

Cleeland goes okay in NSW Cup, but he's 26 and yet to play in first grade, you have to question why not. People say he has defensive issues, not that I've noticed.

Lewis is one that has real potential, but I still don't know his best position. Same kinda applies to Bergamin.

Yep that really says it all I think.
And the club wanted to get Cogger for this season if possible.
I don't know how anyone could be confident about Frawley based on what we saw last season.
I have no clue about Cleeland.

Our spine is a totally unproven factor.
At this stage one of the weakest in the competition.

Foran will play left side 99 times out of a hundred. Funny thing is that Cleeland is a specialist right side player
They would compliment each other well

I watched Frawley in preseason game against Storm last year and the kid showed lots of potential.
Then in his first game or 2 last year i thought finally, we have found someone who could lead us out of misery, then Hasler ruined him.

I would rather Cleeland but willing to give Frawley a shot. This year we wont win premiership so im happy for Pay to try diff things to get us setup for the future

Foran will probably predominantly play down the left.
