Well I'm glad I went out of my way to watch our first match. NOT.
While we were never going to challenge for the title, I at leased wanted some entertainment from our guys, but the reality is, possession is paramount in these reduced numbers comps, and we made too many basic errors. Maybe this is a sign we're only there because we have to be? Then again Canberra had stuff all ball but still managed 3 tries, with mostly no names.
I didn't see much from Mbye tbh or anyone really but O'Hanlon and Burr were good as expected. Brown and Perrett simply don't have the skill and pace for this sort of footy. Inu would be very good, as would guys like Lafai and Low. I don't remember if Lafai was meant to play before getting injured but it's obvious Des couldn't care less about the tourney.
I watched the Warriors pre-season show the other day and was thinking what a potent attacking team they have. Tomkins, Johnson, Hurrell, Locke and some good forwards. They should be a force in the season proper and will probably win the nines.
