The reports coming through are still saying it's a *suspected* fracture...

Shouldn't we wait until the scans have confirmed the injury?
correct - thread title changed ;)

I thought it was his eye socket? Which would be worse.
The Channel 9 guys summed it up perfectly I think.

It was always gonna come down to one of the following 2 scenarios:

  1. If the fracture was just around the cheekbone area, then it'll be a 4-5 week recovery at best
  2. If the fracture went all the way up to the eye socket, then it'll be end of Kimmorley's season.

I'm guessing our medical team have ruled out Scenario 2... and we're just faced with scenario 1...

Let's hope our boys don't drop their heads... let's play smart and competitve and get to the GF...

Not just for Noddy, but for Haz as well!

I take us back to 2004 a little skinny boy who ended up being our 2004 hero and evolved to be the best player in the NRL named Jonathan Thurston didn't play most of the year. Present 2009 another little skinny boy named Ben Barba, can Ben Barba be our 2009 hero.

If we play the eels in the finals we need a director and playmaker.

Its not holdsworth and Barba has had limited oppotunity.

Eels would be favourites over us.

kimmorley is out, but his footprint is still very much involved, the team will remember his enthusiasm

all holdsworth needs to do is catch ( :p ) pass and kick

roberts and ennis will make things easy, barba can also be on the bench for some insurance

We can't win the premiership without Kimmorley. It's that simple

Holdsworth is the only option we have as Kevin Moore has not given Barba a big enough opportunity to prove himself. Big Mistake.

Not that it matters both ain't half the player BK is in attack and lets not discuss what we lose in defense.

We currently have the best defensive halfback in the game.

+1 i'm hoping we look something like this next week:

L.Patten
H.El Masri
J.Morris
J.Idris
B.Goodwin
B.Roberts
D.Holdsworth
B.Hannant
M.Ennis
M.Hodgson
G.Eastwood
A.Ryan
D.Stagg

B.Barba
Y.Gordon
G.Warburton
C.Armit or J.Hickey

Barba won't get chosen to start, but we should at least have him coming off the bench to add in another dimension when Holdsworth starts looking flat.

Couldnt you play with a fractured cheekbone?

And Barba is not an option, will have to be Holdsworth at 7

We won without him today and have b4, earlier this year, but we sure will miss him. Hope the team steps up and covers the loss. At least now KM has some time to work on new attack without BK before the finals. With BK i think today would have been closer to 52-14. Lucky we were playing the warriors.

its bad luck of the worst kind for kimmorley and the bulldogs, however,,,,, how many of us expected the bulldogs to be this competitive this season.

while i am disapointed our chances of making the grand final are now slimmer, i am no less worried.

the bulldogs have had a great season

WHat a load of crap. Accep this for what it is ....a disaster

6. Roberts
7. Ennis
9. Sullivan

??????????
Its too late to make many changes like Sullivan or Barba as well as Holdworth...

Straight swap Holdsworth for Kimmorley and all you can do is pray for the best
