lol @ picking for the future.

NSW has struggled since Johns left, look how many halfs combinations we have tried over the last 4 years. Given the selectors way of thinking this isnt going to change.

"Lets pick someone who is young and is PROMISING and thrust them into Origin and hope they perform and be our next big thing like QLD have Thurston."

Mullen failed
Pearce failed
Wallace has epic failed

How about we PICK THE BEST PLAYERS at the time and focus on winning rather than look to the future ?

Kimmorley should have been the number 7. Any idiot with half a brain can see he is the exact player NSW needed this series given what they were facing and also all the debutants in the forwards and outside backs.

Im expecting Wallace to play in game 3 due to the brilliance of selectors "We got nothing to lose, lets give our young guns some confidence for next year".

They aren't young guns. In the Kangaroo pecking order the two backup QLD halfs are higher in the food chain than any NSW half.

Thurston > Prince > Cronk > NSW

This is both for the 6 and 7 position.

29 years of SOO, NSW have not had it any worse than they have it now.

Pick the same team & stick with it for once.
Why would you stick with the same team when it is clearly wrong.

NSW's first mistake was making Gidley captain imo. He should be coming off the bench.

Hayne has been their best player for 2 games now, and he is plating on the wing, he should be at fullback.

Wallace and Farrah need to go, both were rubbish last night.

And I don't undertsand why you wouldn't pick the older players?????? Ryan, Hindmarsh and BK all in career best form atm. Like someone said before, why try to "build" a team when the concept of origin is to win it that year?

Everyone says "QLD picked a team a stuck with it". That's because it's a bloody awesome team, and they were a winning team off the bat.

One last thing, Laurie Daley must go!

pretty much that would mean rebuilding every year or 2 which i think would be streinous.

Mullen did fail but he was put in after a handfull of games at NRL level which was a massive blunder. He is a changed man and i think he has the game to hurt qld if the forwards get on top. Soward has enough experience now to get a taste of SOO footy also.

Building a team in SOO is a load of crap imo. They play together for only a few weeks a year, in between they are playing and training with their club side. What ever combination they had probably would need to be worked on again in another 12 months time anway.

Who cares about rebuilding a new NSW team, its three games a year and NSW have a long way to go before they even think about creating a dynasty like QLD have.

Stick to basics, pick form players and then see what happens from there.
