Why aren't we going for Hoffman?

We need a specialist FB and think Hoffman would be an ideal signing. We were all disappointed not snaring him when Barba left...so I ask, why not now?

My thought is he is not that much better then Perrett.

Sure he is arguable slightly better. Though do we do that then waive the white flag on Sione for 2016, or do we stick with Perrett for another year and go hard at Sione and if we miss him we sign someone else.

That's if Des doesn't see B Morris as the 2015 fullback.

Things were different in 2013. We know Perrett is capable of playing FB now. Maybe Mata'utai will be with us in 2016.

Could also be the fact that when we wanted him Brisbane said no - now they want to release him we might be returning the favour by saying no thanks.

Other thing to factor in could be the price.

This reported 500-600k is a joke for him.

He is worth 300-400k MAX.

That said Raiders/Eels/Titans might pay him that 500-600k.

Another thing to point out, we don't know for fact we aren't. I remember reading a while ago We still had interest and castle being quoted as saying morris was almost finalised at that stage. Who knows. That said if

Because he is an awesome winger/finisher and an average fb. Plus this subject and hoffmans name has been done to death. I wish i had a dollar for every "hoffman" word on the kennel. Id be rich.
