What if we just played with a full lineup of outside backs?

genuine question, what can props do that backs can’t do? And backs are way faster

Ciraldo low key a genius. We’ll be the fastest team in the comp

I mentioned in another thread that we can potentially make our competitors nervous if we semi regularly pop passes to flying outside backs in the early stages of the tackle count. Even if we have a smallish pack to start next season, if we had Crichton, Xerri and Kiraz (or whatever combo is wearing 1, 3 & 4) looking for short passes or offloads until tackle 3, it will mean that rather than having three forwards trying to demolish out props they'd be less likely to number up. Might help our pack to make metres a bit easier. Might also mean we make some line breaks on early tackles.

When your pack is small, it’s not making meters that’s the problem, it’s conceding them.

Penrith had 2 really good ones, with only really leniu and lindsay smith as rotating props off the bench.
We can still improve with our new mobile team, you can pick apart teams better being expansive, teams like melb broncs etc who are very good at the gang tackle can be prone to being caught out with the opponent throwing the ball around.
We are still 1 decent prop short, but our list with all the new attacking options in xerri curran chrichton tracey taafe etc will put more pressure on the opponents. How many close games did we lose by 6 or less? Probably 5.
Its not as bad as most think.
We are just thin in props, injuries in this area will
Definitely exaggerate this.
Im very optimistic about 24.

Lindsay would start at most clubs and Leniu's one of the best impact middles in the NRL.

We sort of did that last year tbh.

Cannot expect a light weight to defeat a heavy weight.

What you talking about, we've been playing without props for the last few years.

Real question, can’t some of our second rowers ie kikau, curran, rfm also double up as props? I swear the lock position was pretty much a prop until yeoh / panthers popularised it again as another ball playing pivot

Why don’t we have a team of former halves turned
Ball playing locks. Straight from thekennel hivemind
