Meh. They're WAY into pop culture, IMO. They just seem to be trying too hard. The last few seasons were very hit or miss.

Getting home from Bunnings only to realise you forgot to buy the one thing you specifically went there for.

The media and its hyping and ignoring of certain things..
So at the local Sydney derby on the weekend apparently a whole bunch of flares got set off outside the ground before the match. I heard that 50 or so WSW fans broke away from their supporter group and tried to attack Sydney FC fans and were stopped by riot police who had to use their batons and pepper spray to stop them. Then whilst in the game 14 flares or something like that were let off by WSW and apparently chairs were ripped up oh and police discovered a stockpile of what was described as harbour bridge size bolts that police are alleging were going to be used as missiles. I think a few got arrested a couple got thrown out for drunk and bad behaviour there was a pitch invasion I think heard they found one bloke with a knife ect ect.. This was just the stuff that was reported imagine what went on in the streets around the place and on the train. So all of this and the paper have it a mention on page 7 or something.
IMAGINE If IT WAS A BULLDOGS GAME!!
What do you guys recon - I recon it would probably be the first 4 pages and last 3 for the next few days at least.They would be calling for us to be kicked out of the comp or the very least no more points for the rest of the season. There would be up close photos of people we would loose sponsors and cop a mighty fine. Every expert would be going on about how it always seems to be the same club that has certain fans that can not behave themselves. There would be old fogeys ringing up the talkback stations saying that if Dogs fans can get flares into the ground what's to stop them bringing in a bomb and blowing people up in a terrorist attack. Scarred mothers saying they won't let their kids come to games. Ect ect ect ect
Can you imagine. But no it's soccer so that sort of behaviour is just accepted. It is unfair and It pisses me off.

Speaking of Bunnings... I swear to god it's like the Bermuda Triangle of shops. Nowhere else on this planet is it possible (oh actually now that I think about it JB Hifi comes close) to lose track of time so quickly and waste hours.
